starting today, I’ve noticed my 2.7 L eco-boost has a popcorn like noise coming from the driver side part of the engine. It’s most definitely noticeable in the wheel well, however you can hear it in the engine bay. I have attached a video and you can faintly hear the sound over the injectors. Does anybody have any idea what this could be?

My guess would be the EGR tube. It's located on the front drivers side of the engine. You can see it looking through the wheel well, or under the hood. There is a small radiator looking thing with a tube coming out of it. That's the EGR cooler. The pipe liked to leak on early 2.7s. Is that still an issue?
Maybe they were poking around that area or didn't reconnect something correctly when they worked on the valve cover?

Update, the issue was an issue with the purge valve vacuum, twords the back of the engine. Replaced under warranty.
