'21 F-150 Alexa Update?

So now that the '22s have been out for a while, I have noticed that Alexa is officially built in to all the ones that I've seen. Has anyone with a '21 gotten the update that adds Alexa? I'm currently on 2.3.0 and have no Alexa. I'm curious if they've started rolling that out yet, and what PowerUp version adds it?

I have a Job 1 2021 that's fully up to date with BC and I do not have Alexa anywhere in my Sync.

I believe that's just the app. Ford will be releasing a version that's integrated. The app version is kind of useless. You have to have the app open to use it. With the integrated version you'll just say "Alexa" like the home version.

Unfortunately, that's not what I'm looking for. That version of Alexa has been around for years, and is downloadable from your phones app store. In an upcoming update (which they announced May of last year), they will be replacing Ford's built in voice assistant with Alexa. You'll know you have it when the Alexa logo shows in the status bar at the top of your screen, next to where it shows your wifi and connected vehicle status. It was supposed to be coming in the fall. It's already on the '22s, but I haven't seen it on a '21 yet.

Are we ever getting this Alexa in Canada. I’m on 2.3.0 and nothing. Going to make a appointment at the dealer going to get them to update everything. So disappointed why make promises and people still don’t have this feature

Currently you have to get out of Apple CarPlay to run the Ford/Alex App. Will the new version run in CarPlay?

Let us know if you have any success.. I contacted Ford support a couple weeks ago asking specifically about Alexa. I was told it will become available in mine and other '21 models but no ETA was given. FWIW, I have a Job 1 built Dec '20 and I'm also at 2.3.0.

I'm at 2.7.1 now, and still no Alexa.

I hope that in addition to Alexa, they will be adding Google Assistant. I don't have much that uses an assistant in my home, but years ago I made the choice to equip my house with Google Assistant instead of Alexa.

That functionality is already baked in to Android Auto.
