I am comparing the pricing of the 2025 PB King Ranch with the 601A package to the 2025 PB Platinum with the 702A package. All other options are equal. Total sticker price for King Ranch is $78,515, the Platinum is $84,435. Looking at the 2025 F-150 Order Guide the only differences between the two are some minor trim cosmetic pieces (like a Smoke Chrome Exhaust on the Platinum). I can find no other major option or component differences to account for a $5,920 MSRP difference.

What am I missing?

Just a different badging scheme. Don't tell ford!

Neither one appears to have the CHMSL camera now!?

If KR had a BAP package changing to a charcoal color scheme (w/ chrome delete), that's probably the only way it could get sweeter IMO.

Well that is a very expensive chrome exhaust tip.

Platinum is a decal package for people who don't really care about the extra ~6k. Figured ford would have a 602 package putting it within ~2k or so of the platinum but it's quite a bargain in comparison.

oof and that 703 package -- holy geez
Ford F-150 2025 PB King Ranch versus PB Platinum Pricing 1741744404024-1

Hell, even the KR can option those exact 22s for $1300 -- LOL

Curious if that ford 'truck expert' runs to the forums to find answers. Had an interesting conversation w/ someone who knows someone well-up in ford and they were asking if they could get the deluxe tow mirrors added to their XLT and after consulting with one of the main guys over the trucks the answer was "no". Needless to say I installed all of the parts and the mirrors in a gas station parking lot for them.

I saw the same difference when I was ordering my '24. In the past I had always ordered a Platinum, but when I added the moonroof to it, the price jumped by $6000. Ended up ordering a KR as the moonroof was standard on the KR. I thought that was the only difference, but later found out the Platinum also had the bed camera and the KR didn't. That bed camera was not identified in the specs for either the KR or Platinum in '24 - not sure about the '25s. Other than that, the only other difference is the cowboy leather interior and two-tone paint on the KR. I went with the KR because I wanted a moonroof, but didn't want to pay an extra $6000 for it on the Platinum. I have come to like the KR leather and in '24 with antimatter blue, the two-tone is not that noticeable - not so for the two-tone in '25, now Marsh Gray. You used to be able to delete the two-tone on the KR, but that ended in '24.

Looking at the prices of new pickups makes me almost certain that I will never own anything besides a CPO.

I love the options on my KR but letting someone else take that $30k hit on depreciation for 40k miles is what really makes me smile........maybe my dad's cheapskate ways rubbed off, just a little on me.
