2025 F150 XLT
Hey everyone,

First time poster here but would like to pass on the information. Just got a 2025 F150 XLT and she’s quite the upgrade from my 2002 F150 Lariat.

I levelled it with the rough country 2” level (not impressed with the hard plastic build but worked out and cheap) but so far so good. I ended up finding 295/65R20 Falken Wildpeaks AT4w. As per tire calculator they are 35.1” tall by 11.6 wide. I live in Ontario and a true 35 x 12.5 would been about 3500$ CAD. To go down to a 11.6 it was 2400$ shipped to my front door. I also wanted to go more narrow on the safe side. Upon receiving the tires Falken is true to their 35” height, unlike BF where they’re closer to 34”. Falken also makes their tires wider than calculated width. The 295/65r20 should be 11.6 but on the tire is marked 12 wide. I kept OEM rims. Mounted and balanced beautifully. Lock to lock zero rub. I cut the front splitter by a quarter inch to be safe. Clearance from upper control arm to tire sidewall is about half inch. I don’t think I would’ve been able to fit this tire if it was a 12.5”. At least a Falken wildpeak anyways, they’re wider than given dimensions.

Just wanted to put some info out there for people looking at tires.

ps: buddy at work has a 2023 Tremor, he cannot fit 35s unless he levels, and my xlt sits about same height mirror to mirror. I guess suspension geometry is a bit different. They say the tremor is a 2” factory lift but I think some of that lift is body lift?

Cheers,
Nate

Dang another red truck! Looks great! One of these days I’ll figure out how to be gutsy enough to own a red truck like that 🙂

After inheriting my Pop’s red 1998 Chevy pickup in Victory Red I knew I’d want my Rapid Red when I went shopping for my F150. I owned an 87 K5 Blazer, but had 3 other F150’s and I still have my 03 Ford Excursion (which I’ll keep forever).

Thanks! No cutting the crash bar or anything. I trimmed the front splitter maybe a 1/4 inch just to be on the safe side but don’t think I needed to

no body lift on tremors . mayebe tremor tires have different width and offset. Those are the biggest factors in fitting tires on IFS. also maybe it has more travel and at full compression it rubs.

Nice setup, this is what I am leaning towards:

What load rating does your Falkens have and do you notice any ride quality difference from stock setup?

I am still learning my truck coming out of a GMC which was leveled on Bilstien 5100s. I just bought the Lariat 502a with FX4 package, not sure if it sits any higher or not than 4x4. I don't want to lose the ride quality and from my research the load rating makes the biggest difference. I know a 2" spacer is different that shock or strut level, but this is going to be a pavement princess with very occasional towing.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks!

Overall ride quality is pretty good. Going from a 32/33ish highway tire to a 35 all terrain the handling does change a bit though. A little more spongey of course but really not bad at all. Very little road noise as well. I’m very happy with them.

As for the 2” level, I haven’t noticed a ride quality change at all. Still rides very smooth with no clunks or noises. I Know I’m not doing any agressive off-roading so a spacer was fine in my eyes.

If you get the Falken Wildpeak AT4W it is a 10 ply tire with 3 ply sidewall. Load rating 129/126 which works out to be 3800lbs per tire…. So much more than the axle will hold haha, at least an f150 anyways. Not sure the load rating on the AT3W, I’m sure they’re still good enough to be towing with. Falken makes good tires.

Hope that’s helps a bit!

Cheers
