Hey guys, I have a few questions regarding my truck. I just picked up this truck a few weeks ago and want to level it with some A/T tires. I can’t decide what level kit to go with or what size tire I can fit without rubbing/trimming. For reference, I drive 99% of the time on pavement with the 1% being to pull into my deer camp or hook up to a trailer.

The first few issues I have found is people are saying you can’t level a powerboost, also some level kits say this. Next, I’ve read where the max tow package can be difficult to level too along with some rear shocks not being compatible So I am very confused on what kits can/can’t fit.

Furthermore, I am torn between committing to buying a fully assembled level kit with front struts and rear shocks (Ex. Bilstein 6112s w/ rear 5100 or Eibach Pro Truck 2RS level kit) or just putting a 2 inch level spacer on the front struts and calling it a day.

I don’t have a problem spending the extra money on a fully assembled level kit but I am worried about if it will drive worse than just the block since I am not planning to Offroad with it. I also wonder if I even need to replace the rear shocks.

Thank you in advance!

The shocks will more then likely improve the ride ,,, but the tires you put on for the look will make it ride worse … and get worse gas mileage

I went with Eibach Protruck coil overs and love the changes it made. Here is the link to my build-

What A/T tire to get is a long discussion that comes down to personal preference, so I won't get into that. But the Eibach Protruck 2.0 kit that is specifically designed for the PB worked perfectly for my needs. My main goal was a better ride/handling experience and not so much a leveled truck, but I got both. I wouldn't say my truck was perfectly leveled after the install of the Eibachs- there was still maybe 1/2 inch of rake back to front- but I didn't care about that as much as the improved ride/handling. I actually turned down the front coilovers 1/2" to improve the compliance of the front end.

As far as not getting new shocks in the rear- If you don't mind the jittery/unstable feel going over washboards/potholes/etc. I guess i wouldn't worry about it. But if you want that issue resolved- definitely do the rears as well.

I will say one thing about tires- getting 18" tires as opposed to 20"s will make your ride all that much better. The extra sidewall really helps in absorbing everything.

Hope this helps your decision.

Awesome build man. I have only heard great things about the Eibach Protruck 2 level kit. I think that is the right move long-term. I feel like the level block could lead to issues later in life by causing more wear and tear. I just want to have better ride quality on pavement, worried if the Eibach level kit is overkill if that makes sense. From what i've read, it 100% has a better ride quality while providing your truck with a better suspension setup.
