I purchased a 2024 XL RCSB rather than the 2023 that I had on order for several reasons, but one was that the 2024 came with LED headlights rather than halogen. I ordered the 103a package to get the fog lights.

I have been very pleased with the LED headlights even though they are the reflector models rather than the projector ones. I have been noticing that the lights have been responding to steering inputs and lighting the
sides of the roads when I am turning. I stopped last night and looked and saw that the fog light on the side in the direction of my turn was illuminated.
I am very pleased with the beam pattern and functionality of the new lighting for 2024. I haven’t been able to find any details in the sales literature, but these lights far exceed my expectations.

I have the same truck with the 103A package because I wanted the LEDs. Had it for about three weeks now. Still have not driven at night. LOL

I wanted to let prospective buyers know that you get more functionality with these new headlights than just LED bulbs. The light beam cutoff is very good horizontally and projects very wide. The addition of the integration of the fog lights with steering inputs to improve lighting when cornering is much more than I was expecting on a base level truck.

I find it hard to believe that the Ford sales team is not even mentioning these new features. That feature alone is worth the price of the 103A package. But then I really shouldn’t be surprised because very few people are interested in the details of their vehicles. Most people don’t know and don’t care.

It continues to blow my mind that every year Ford seems adamant on using halogen bulbs somewhere on their trucks. I have the reflectors on my 2021 and they are a huge leap over halogen reflectors.

I had halogen reflectors on my 2017 that I placed some high quality LED bulbs in and these are still slightly better than that setup.

This was a function on the LED reflector trucks on 21-23 as well, it was just obviously only on 302A/500A/501A, so not a large chunk.
Yep. I never knew about it either when I bought my truck.

I couldn't figure out what was lighting up when I went around a bend / corner and why.

Wasn't sure if it was glare free etc....

When I put my order in for a 2023 XL I wasn’t willing to spend an additional $30K for options that I didn’t want in order to move up to the higher models to get LED headlamps. When they announced that the 2024 models came standard with LED headlamps, I cancelled my order for the 2023 and placed an order for the 2024. I am very glad that I did.

I agree. Upgraded from a 2018 XLT to a 2024 XLT and the head lights are a tremendous upgrade. I do a lot of early morning/late night driving so it's super appreciated.

I needed to adjust my headlights after I lowered my truck and thought that I was going to be in for a real chore. I found another thread on the subject and it is the easiest headlight adjustment that I have ever done.
The adjustment is right on top and all you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. These headlights are very well designed.

These lights are great on my 24 702A and a big improvement over my 16 platty.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
In the old days I had to run 4 100 watt halogens in my headlights to see anything. They were all on Bosch relays. The problem was they burned hot and eventually burned out.

My 2021 Ford LED's are much brighter, much whiter, and have a great cut-off.

I always liked the turn lighting on my 67 Toronado. It projected out 90 degrees from its front fender location. I could see everything. An LED would make the Toronado turns really bright. It was better than my 21 Lariat. But in those days no one knew how to spell LED.

That feature was killed at some point almost across all manufacturers. I would have paid for the option on every car I bought since then beginning in 1974.

I would still have that 67 today if it could hold a 4x8 sheet of plywood.

Turn lighting could be better. Is there a way to increase the swing on those turn lights?

Maybe if my fog lights were properly adjusted it might be nice. I just haven’t got around to adjusting them off the ground yet. The point 6 inches If that from the bumper

Take a look at the top of your headlights, just under your hood. It looks like a very small funnel. That is where you put the number 2 Phillips screwdriver and turn to adjust the height of your headlights.

I'll just chime in and say I'm agreeing these led reflector lights are a huge improvement vs any halogen car I've ever driven. My fiances 2025 Chevrolet had such poor LED headlights we needed to install Hella lights with 100 watt bulbs to see Deer at night, as we regularly drive an hour at night through some heavily wooded area with deer left and right. The F150 totally lit up all the ditches and side of the road adequately, and it just wasn't necessary to add the Hellas to it, even though we had planned to

At first, the soft on/off of the automatic full lights threw me off thinking they were weak. Was used to instant on and much brighter immediately. But instead they softly go on then Intensify over a second and a half or so, totally lighting up the treeline on the side of the highway. A winner for sure.
