I have put on 15k miles since my instillation and have never experienced any noises or rattles and the ride is much improved over stock. There are 24 available firmness settings and I have mine set on 12.
The handling is far superior to stock and the suspension has never needed any additional...
I have a 2024 RCSB and installed the RideTeck 3/5 kit and I am very pleased. I also installed their rear sway bar and air booster springs. The handling is very much improved and the air bags really help to level things up when you carry a heavy load or pull a trailer.
I have a 2024 RCSB and added firmer shocks, rear sway bar, and airbags to mine and would recommend all three. The airbags really come in handy to level a load when you hook up a trailer.
If that were true then every time that I put a load in the bed of my truck, hitched up a trailer, or put air in my air shocks, I would need to have my front end alignment done.
You can add the trailer brake controller as well as all of the fully integrated software. It was covered in a previous thread. The information number is 1-855-636-6287.
When you hook up a trailer, you lose some of the monitoring features that would be included in the towing package. I believe...
I have a stupid question. In all my years, and there have been plenty, I have never had a battery blanket until this vehicle. Is this a cold weather thing? I live in Georgia not in Canada. Even my military vehicles designed for serious cold weather don’t have battery blankets.
What is the...
I just went out and took a few pictures of my Ford mats for the vinyl flooring. It was dark and I tried using a flashlight to help with the photos. What I like most is how they fit so close to the factory contour of the floor. I haven’t felt a need to install the supplied pins to hold them in...
I thought about a set that traverses the transmission tunnel, but I thought that taking it in and out would be a pain when I washed the truck. The Ford ones for the RCSB with vinyl flooring come out and go back in very easily. I can easily just pull the mat out, dump the dirt, and slide it...
They do come with pins that you can insert, but I didn’t install the pins. They fit the vinyl floor exactly and don’t move. They fit so well that I haven’t found a need to install the pins. I have used them for over a year now. When I first got them I thought that I would install the pins...
You need to start with the basics. How large is your smoker, size and weight? How many people do you need to haul, do you need a back seat? Will a regular cab, 6.5' bed with a camper top suit your needs or do you need a crew cab? There is a big difference in price and the length of the...
I believe that the shims to adjust pinion angle are easy to find and are not very expensive.
Ridetech is what Shelby uses for their sport trucks.
My 24 RCSB is 4x4 and I have been driving sports cars. I just couldn’t get used to sitting four feet off the ground and needing a step ladder to...
You must check your pinion angle anytime that you raise or lower your suspension. The kits usually contain the proper shims to make adjustments to make sure that you maintain the correct angle when you are installing the kits, or at least the good ones do.
I used the Ridetech 3/5 kit and couldn’t be happier with the results. I also added the rear swaybar and the airbags that are available with the kit. The swaybar really improves the handling and the airbags help when I am towing or carrying a load. I believe that the airbags even increase my...
I use the ramps and they work well even with my truck being lowered. One thing that works really well is a good thick sheet of cardboard from a strong cardboard box that is wide enough to fit between your ramps and long enough to slide all the way under your engine and still stick out past your...
One of my first jobs in high school was working in a service station in 1965. I have changed a lot of oil since then. I continue to do it in my own cars mostly because it gives me a chance to look under the hood and below the engine to see what is going on.
I have done it enough that it takes...
