Hey everyone. First post but have owned numerous Ford Trucks over the yrs.
Just picked up a 2024 5.0 SuperCrew Lariat FX4. 5.0, tow package, 3.73’s, 2” front leveling kit, 34” tires, etc.
Would love to do a gear swap and was curious if a TCM or similar recalibration was required after swapping in 4.56’s for example..? If so, is it even doable on one this new..? Any input very much appreciated ?

4.56 with the 10 speed would be wild. That was more so a go to for 4 speed transmissions. Make sure you are dead set on 4.56

I don’t fear the gear. My 21 Ecodiesel Gladiator runs 4.56’s with a 37” tire.
Plenty told me I was going too low there as well. It actually gets better mileage with those than the factory 3.73’s and the 8 speed auto on the 37’s. Runs roughly 200 rpm’s higher at cruising speed than it did. Completely different power curve but the principal applies even more so to a gasser I think. 4.10’s aren’t worth the effort over a 3.73 in my Ford truck and I haven’t seen my preferred 4.30 ratio available aftermarket. 4.56’s were the closest commonly available for the 8.8/9.75 axles I’ve seen. More than anything was curious if there was a means to calibrate the new gears for the TCM or similar so it would shift properly after a gear swap..?
