Is it normal to continue to hear the exhaust pulsate as I accelerate and even at higher speeds? It probably wouldn’t be overly noticeable if I didn’t have OCD. I could probably turn the radio on and drown it out. I just want to make sure it’s normal for a V-8….or for any engine for that matter. Maybe I’m noticing it more because the overall tone is deeper than other vehicles I’ve driven. I just figured at some point the pulsating/throbbing would completely be unnoticeable.

it’s either ur speakers amplifying the exhaust noise or the cylinder deactivation doing its thing.

Speakers don't amplify the exhaust. You are most likely hearing cylinder deactivation. Next time put it in Sport or Tow/Haul mode and see if it changes the sound, those modes deactivate CD.

I think I’m actually hearing the exhaust. Just hearing low level pulsating coming from back of the truck. I’m sure I just need to get used to it. I hear it constantly….not just during deactivation.
