2024 F150 goes haywire when trailer hooked up.

When I hook up a 7 pin trailer the truck says no trailer detected when I test the brake controller, but it recognizes a trailer hooked up and adjusts everything else.
4 pin trailers consistently say trailer towing module error see manual. It will then say trailer lighting module error, see manual. Lights on the trailers go on and off every time. I get trailer disconnected/trailer connected over and over.

Ford did find a towing module shorted to ground. Replaced it and the problem remains. They have worked on the truck for near a month and now have a Ford Engineer coming to look at it. Have had this issue since I bought the truck. Any one else ever see this? Ford did put the factory TBC in after I bought the truck as it did not come with it.

Just had a similar situation with my 7 pin connector when plugging in my 5th wheel camper....took truck to the dealer to be checked out (Ok) I found after further diagnosis it was the camper wiring causing the problem.

Its 8 different trailers and now the error messages are whether there is a trailer hooked up or not. they did find a trailer module shorted to ground....that repair did not fix it.

With 8 trailers basically doing the same thing when hooked up, I'd start by changing the bumper receptacle or at least make sure the harness is plugged into it ok

We will see. They kept the truck yesterday and gave me a long term loaner.

The GPS went out again....not 24 hours after they told me it was repaired.

Dealer is being really good to me..Ofcourse I've bought 8 trucks in three years from them.
