2024 Console Tray Sliding Cover - Does yours click?

I don’t know if I never paid attention to this, or if it recently started doing it, but the sliding cover on the small console tray at the dash clicks when I open it. It doesn’t sound right, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t right. I think my old F150’s cover never made noise, except for the sound of the lid sliding. Should I add this to the punch list of items for the dealer to address at its first service? Thanks folks.

It looks like I might be able to access the part by removing a bit of trim but not any of the console.



I'll give it a go myself, at least to try to determine the cause.
