17k miles on 2023 Heritage edition. 3.5….
Been getting this warning popping up often. Took to dealer they said “ all checked out fine. Probably a communication error. If it continues - bring it back when a loaner is available will need it for at least a day. “
So I knew it would keep happening and it did. Made appmt and said has to be with loaner. Show back up 2 weeks later at Fred Beans in Washington NJ (45 minute drive) and let them know it happened twice on way there and where is my loaner? “Sir we don’t have a loaner”. Left in anger. Made new appointment with another dealer - Family Ford in Netcong NJ. Will see how this works out.
This is my third 150 since 2019 I love them never had issues but this problem is very concerning. Does anyone have any experience with this ?
My FordPass app gets this message every time it happens….
POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION / REDUCED POWER
What Is Happening?
Illuminates when the system has detected a powertrain or a four-wheel drive fault.
What Should I Do?
A Powertrain or All Wheel Drive (AWD)/Four Wheel Drive (4WD) fault has been detected, contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible.
