2023 BAP ordering oddity…

I noticed this when ordering and asked dealer (Granger) if they had any idea what it was all about, never got a clear answer. Does the Black Appearance Package really delete the dynamic bending headlights with Lariat and higher trims?!

Don't trust anything the Build&Price says. Go by the Order Guide.

It's probably just how someone coded the website with a short but, or the wrong links for each part. Like someone didn't turn these on when you also select the BAP and it looks for "Default Lariat Headlamps" or something.

This is from my order tracking page. No mention of dynamic bending headlights. Can anyone without BAP see if there order says “dynamic bending” headlights?

This covered in another thread almost a couple weeks.

No one here knows or can say with certainty. The consensus was it’s likely an error.

However, the standard Lariat vs BAP version do use different part numbers due to the tinted lens. So it is possible they could drop it. It wouldn’t be a surprise considering changes in production around deletions.

Time will tell.

That is my fear. You don’t see the delete unless you try to add back the dynamic headlights after selecting BAP. One of the main advertised features with Lariat and above trims is the adaptive headlights. Losing them without notification over a cosmetic option (BAP) will lead to some very interesting conversations with @Ford Motor Company. My truck is set to be delivered in next 10 days so time will certainly tell…

It does, or at least my June built 22 BAP does. Certainly hope for the sake of the 23 folks that they get them.

Considering you option the BAP on 502a, and 502a gets the projector LED, I find it highly doubtful they would remove them for BAP.

Correct. However, the online 2023 configurator silently removes them when you add BAP after selecting 502a. And if you try to add them back in, it says you have to remove BAP. I ordered before the online configurator was available to use. I’m trying to remain calm until the truck is at the dealer to confirm the truth.

I hope you are right, but there are other “errors” which have been hotly debated here as well. The order tracker page shows my powerboost with dual exhausts. Sure hope that is not an error….

I HOPE to God it's just a mistake. This was happening on the online configurator when I was building 22's and then 23's at the end of September early October. I have a 502A BAP PB on order, and the XLT LED Reflectors has been tearing me up. I almost stepped up to a Platinum BAP just to get the Projectors, which my 502A should already have. I'm VERY curious to see what happens here.

You might want to reword that lol. They will all come with projectors. We’re all wondering if we’ll get the dynamic projectors.
