After waiting 10 months I finally got my Raptor. Picked up out of state since none of my dealers had any allocations.
I went over the truck when I picked it up but didnt look at the paint in indirect lighting. Full on direct sunlight or all shade you cant see these defects, but in morning /indirect sun you can see serious mottling/ splotchy spots on the top of the bed and one of the lower sides.
Another thing I find odd is the bed paint measures 3.0-3.5 in thickness, while the cab is 6.0-6.7.. Cab paint is very good, best and thickest out of all the Raptors (3) I have owned.. even the door jams are 2.9-3.0
I have yet to take it to a local dealer or call the selling dealer. I was going to let a high end body shop evaluate it first and then take it to the dealer.
Incredibly disappointed, had I saw the defects I would have passed on the truck.. Traded in a perfect F250 Tremor
Thought of repainting the bed gives me nightmares..
