2021 Powerboost lights turned on on their own

So for seemingly no reason my exterior lights came on by themselves. The tail lights and what looked to be my headlights came on at exactly 1:32am. I tried to lock and unlock the doors and they stayed on. I went out to the truck and turned it on, I noticed the headlight knob was in the on position and not in auto like it always is.

Since this happened about 4 hours after I drove the truck I know it was not me who caused them to turn on. Was definitely not the welcome lighting as that turns off after a short amount of time.

Has anyone seen this before?

The exact same thing happened to my 2022 3.5 EB, non power boost on Friday! They came back on about an hour after it had been parked. Had a a hard time getting them to turn off also.

I wonder what happens if we didn't intervene, would they turn off or let the battery drain?

Good question. I’ve been lucky enough to be present when the lights came on.

I would presume that the battery would just run down since I think it’s just the interior lights that turn off after a set time, but don’t know for sure.

Just curious, but did your emergency brake also set when you got in the truck after the lights had come on?

I ask because it did when my truck did something similar a couple of months ago. And a few other fellas noticed their emergency brake had set by itself when they opened the door the same day or next day.

I suspect it was an OTA activity of some kind, but was never able to find verification.

Negative on emergency brake, when I got in the truck I turned it on and drove off. Also if it helps I did not have an update
