2021 Non-folding shifter?

Wondering if anyone has caught a picture of the 2021 Sport center console WITHOUT the folding shifter? All the pics I've seen so far have been specced with the option, but I'm the outlier that doesn't want it...

On XLT models the folding shifter is not included automatically on all trim levels EXCEPT those with the sport appearance package. Once you opt for that package you get the folding shifter.

Yeah? I've had the idea it comes as part of the interior work surface option, and would (hopefully) be a standard shifter without...

Thanks for the input. Looks like you're right. Kind of a bummer bet definitely not a deal breaker. I just hope there is some kind of failsafe so I can still drive if the lever quits and doesn't come back up! Lol.

If you dont order the work surface, you have no reason to lower the shifter.
Has to be done with a push of a button---not auto-folding
XL, XLT---column shifter unless sport package on XLT.
Not sure if the Lariat is column shift standard or not.

That's what I'm hoping. Sport trim without work surface = no folding shifter. Unfortunately I haven't seen any images of a "normal" center console shifter...

Could be because this option has been so hyped that every dealer has been ordering it.

Pretty sure that if a console shift, it will be folding. (But am NOT positive)
Even if it is folding---no need to ever fold it if no work surface

The work surface is $165 option (if I recall). For that small of an upcharge, I don't believe Ford will be building trucks with and without the folding shifter. If you have a console shifter, I feel confident that it lowers. The aftermarket is going to offer trays and fold out lids for customers who don't opt for it from the factory.

Its already been determined that all trucks with console shifter have the folding shifter. If you don't want a folding shifter you have to get the column shifter.

I confirmed this with Ford CS this morning. If you don't want a folding shifter, you would need to opt for a model with the shifter on the column.

From what I’ve read, all trucks with the console shifter will have the button/motor to fold flat. It’s just whether or not you elect to have the fold flat work surface option that adds the different console lid.
