2021 Ford F-150 Limited Test Drive

Here is another test drive video to help keep us occupied. This one is of the 2021 Limited trim. The truck is equipped with the 3.5 liter PowerBoost powertrain. It seems to be a pretty detailed video. The guy is wearing a chest or head mounted GoPro style camera as he drives. Throughout the video you can hear some of the Sync 4’s automated voice talking to the driver.

You can also see the Active Drive Assist in action around the 7:00 mark and again at 10:50.

That is one of the things I'm looking most forward to seeing again! I was reluctant to get rid of tried and true analog gauges, but that 12" instrument screen was so vibrant and clear. It doesn't hurt that the animations are pretty sweet too!

I didn't have a chance to do so, but at the test drive event I was told that screen could be configured to the driver's preference.

Was that a separate option? I’m gonna be a little miffed if I’m paying this much for a truck, and navigation doesn’t come with all that fancy “Ford Co-Pilot 2.0” and “Sync 4” stuff!

Was that a separate option? I’m gonna be a little miffed if I’m paying this much for a truck, and navigation doesn’t come with all that fancy “Ford Co-Pilot 2.0” and “Sync 4” stuff!

I believe so right? "Voice Activated Navigation" at least on the Lariat, on the Limited it should be standard. I would imagine at least.

HEY! That test drive was in California near Frazier Park off I-5. How the hell did this guy get that truck? There has not been a single "in your driveway" event in Cali (next one is Denver) and there is not one single Limited Powerboost currently scheduled in the inventory search coming to California. Grrrr... At least text me next time, Ford!

It must be an add on some way. Seems hard to believe they would not have navigation available on any XL or XLT and most of their Lariat models.

Probably the "Built Ford Tough Roundup. It's a dealership only event. A friend on Facebook saw one in Memphis last week. It was that same event being used to train dearlers.

People seemed to be initially disappointed when the numbers were first announced, but man that engine seems like such a beast.
