2021 F150 302A installed HSW but heated seats are not working now

Don't roast me too hard guys. Helping a friend from work with the computer side of the changes.

Installed heated steering wheel and custom harness updated HVAC controls for hard button. Heated steering wheel works fine but now his heated seats do not work with hard button and remote start.

A VIN lookup for his truck on www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt shows that his truck didn't have heated seats from the factory. Not sure what is causing the issue. Not in a rush since it's summer but if I can get help to fix it that would be great thanks guys.

I believe the HVAC control you installed is the issue. You have to have a DSM to control the heated seats with that controller. Its not intended to run the heated seats internally.

Your best bet is to install the original controller and operate the heated wheel via the touchscreen or it will turn on automatically when started if the temp calls for it.

Thank you for the quick reply. We were both thinking it had something to do with the HVAC control. He will install the old one and I'll change the value to put the soft button on the screen. Thank you again.

Just posting again for archive purposes.

Today just changed to super duty and had to change original HVAC control as built to HSW and everything works.
