So 3 weeks after my truck is out of warranty my washer stops working. When pressing the button on the end of the turn signal stick the wiper work and from reading I have done the wiper and washer are on the same fuse. Order an oem washer from ford and installed it. It also did not work. Bench test the both pumps, both worked. Checked connector and wiring as far as i could see and feel thru the wheel well all appeared to be intact without corrosion. And yes I made sure there was water in the reservoir.

I noted that my truck has an incomplete over the air up date and am wondering if this may have something to do with the washer not working?

Any suggestion on what could be the problem? I hate to have to take into the shop for such a small problem. Thank in advance for any help.

When you push the button can you hear the motor running.
I had a ram once I'd hear the motor run but no water. I ended up pulling the motor and cleaning out and it worked fine till I got rid of it. If thats not your case maybe lines going to nozzles or nozzles themselves could be clogged. I read somewhere some certain washer fluids you buy will kinda like build an algae like buildup in pump and or lines. My case it was at pump.
Other than that I'd check more fuses or research maybe the pump is on a different fuse or even a relay.
They've got some guys I've seen in here that has pretty good wiring diagrams and fuse - relay schematics could possibly help more

Hopefully you get it sorted out easily

Washer gets its power and operating logic / control from the wiper motor (same fuse).

If the wiper motor works but you're not getting 12VDC on the washer motor connector when it's activated, then IMO likely the problem is with the control circuit (push-button on stalk, BCM, or control circuit in the wiper motor housing).

Do you have any DTCs reported (using FORScan or an OBD port diagnostic tool)?

Attached FYI, Good Luck!

BTW, if your VIN has the wiper motor recall still open / un-repaired, that might be related even if your wipers are still operating (and that has no miles / time limit).

Had the wiper recall done 3 months ago washer has worked ok after.
My code reader does not show any codes, but is pretty old and very basic. will see if I can find a more advance one to see if it can operate the washer.

I have tried the old reboot trick of disconnecting the battery ground and letting every thing drain down. no luck with that.
Thanks for the diagrams I will study them and do some more checking

On my 2022 truck the windshield pump was not providing a water spray and I took the truck to the dealer for repair. It turned out that at the factory the fluid hose was installed such that there was a kink in it that greatly reduced the amount of fluid that could pass through the hose.
