Because there are people here who have trucks on order but haven’t received them yet. THAT is the time to apply an ESP and NOW is the time to start looking into them.

Of all the new vehicles I’ve ever purchased, this is the 1st time I’ve ever bought the ESP and I thought it might help people who haven’t considered the implications of today’s supply chain issues to post my reasons for doing that.

I’m NOT trying to “jam” anyone, cast blame or anything like that.

The situation the world finds itself in today is what it is.

I wasn’t trying offend anyone or pop anyone’s bubble and you shouldn’t take it that way.
What’s ESP??? Lol
EXACTLY!

Thank you for accentuating my point!

Extended Service Plan (ESP)

I've owned Hondas for 35 years and never saw the need to buy an ES warranty and ran them to 200k. I flirted with Audis for a few years and sold them before they hit 50k. Now I'm looking at this F150 as the last vehicle that I might own for the next 10+ years and considering an ESP due to the complexity of this beast. I am starting from scratch here...is this something that you have to buy at initial purchase for best savings, or can you add it later when your standard warranty runs out?
From the research I did… “NO”, you don’t have to buy it at the time of purchase BUT…

Luckily I had a pretty good grasp on what was available and I was planning to go with the Zeigler ESP AFTER I closed my purchase.

Then my dealer SHOCKED me by somehow (I wasn’t eligible) getting me the 0% loan from Form Motor Credit, I immediately added the “Ford Premium Care Warranty” to the loan at a cost of $30.00 a month.

He almost seemed bummed out that he didn’t get to give his “Extended Warranty Sales Pitch”! lol

And if you read my other posts, it turned out to be a stoke of luck that I did!

My New truck was delivered late November, driven until late December were it has sat in the service dept "waiting for back ordered parts" for all of 2022.

Had I purchased the after market warranty, I most certainly would NOT be driving a "free" Dealership owned loaner but would be dealing with after market warranty "rental" paperwork instead.

...something to think about.

Sorry to hear that. 1st bump? I'm only a month into this process
Second bump. I’m a spring chicken compared to some around here. Original build week was 2/21 and now 3/7 after being in this group for a week.

Yeah, I have been bumped 3 times, but I know it doesn't make it easy on you. Question, did you already get a window sticker with blend date???

I have never been able to pull a window sticker from the tracking site. I'm trying to test my theory that the ability to get inserted into the production schedule depends on you refreshing the tracking page multiple times/day. (Similar to the more frequently that you click the elevator button, the faster that it will descend)

It’s happened for sure. More often recently I think. window stickers seem to populate the week before build day. I get bumped usually 8 days before. Fml

I received my sticker last week with a 3/3 blend date. However, I know I'm definitely getting bumped because of the KC shutdown. Haven't received that e-mail yet though but it's coming.

Any update from anyone?
Nope, I have a KC build, they’re down this week. My truck still shows in production, and the blend date on the sticker remains at 3/4/22.
I’m assuming (hopefully) that it’s good to go and it will get sent down the line the week of the 7th.

Bummer man. Hate to hear the KC builds are down a week. Wondering if DB is not far behind.
