10/11 Build Week

Trucks a bit closer this morning! It made it almost all of the way across the state of Wyoming yesterday, it was last scanned in Evanston WY which is a few miles east of the state line. At this rate it should be in SLC some time today or tomorrow, which is quite a bit earlier than the Ford ETA. Curious how long it's gonna take to get on a convoy over to the dealership!

My understanding is that Palsapp is only convoy (truck) transportation. As an example, my truck went from Kansas City (origin) to Birmingham, MO (Norfolk Southern Rail) as the destination. Now it’s on a railcar headed down to Florida. Still working on trying to get the info needed to track it myself via rail.

@ECO_Heavy - you figure out a way to track on Norfolk Southern? I’m pretty sure my truck is on that rail carrier.

Unfortunately not. Neither my dealer nor FP chat have yielded to my requests for rail car info. So at this point I’ve had to settle for daily chats/calls for updates. Gave them a break this weekend as I was tied up with other activities, but last I was told on Friday (both FP and dealer), the truck was last scanned in GA. I did a drive-through of the dealer’s lot this afternoon and the truck wasn’t there.

Just heard from FP. My truck is being shipped via rail and is in Danville, KY. After looking at some rail maps, I'm betting it's coming down via Norfolk Southern. On Tuesday it was being loaded at a yard in IN. Apparently, they conveyed it there for quicker shipping. That checks out according to their rail map. It looks like it's about 1/2 way to me so fingers crossed it comes in next week. ?

Checked with FP first thing this am - no update. Still making its way though Danville KY.

On the plus side, I’m showing an activation pending on ford pass app.

My truck is at the local unloading yard (about 10 miles away). The transit date has 5 more days on it, and the ETA date is 9-15 days away. Hoping it doesn't take that long to unload and get to the dealership.

My truck is now in Jacksonville. Dealer not 100% clear if it will stay on a train (switched from Norfolk Southern to CSX) or put on a truck to be brought down to the Tampa Bay area. ETA still holding at 11/5-11/11, so dealer thinks it’s staying on the train. But, he says if it’s put on a truck, it would be here within a day. Guess I’ll continue to wait and see…glad it’s in the same state though!

Truck arrived Thursday afternoon, and picked her up Friday at noon, and headed out on a weekend get-away. Headed back today to do paperwork (A-plan, so no haggle pricing). It's been amazing, but there are a few small issues so far, window rubber trim not lining up, and right turn signal doesn't self-cancel. Otherwise, love it, although BlueCruise seems a little finnicky.

Truck arrived Thursday afternoon, and picked her up Friday at noon, and headed out on a weekend get-away. Headed back today to do paperwork (A-plan, so no haggle pricing). It's been amazing, but there are a few small issues so far, window rubber trim not lining up, and right turn signal doesn't self-cancel. Otherwise, love it, although BlueCruise seems a little finnicky.

Awesome, congrats! I found the BlueCruise to work pretty well but granted I only used it on a major highway. There were a few curves near semis I was a little nervous about but otherwise it was awesome.

Salesman checked in with me today. Truck is on a railcar in Illinois. Eta 10/31-11/6. Hopefully sooner. He said we can complete paperwork this Saturday to lock in 0% along with 1000 retail bonus. Hoping the truck makes it by then but if not I'll at least be happy with the financing.

Awesome, congrats! I found the BlueCruise to work pretty well but granted I only used it on a major highway. There were a few curves near semis I was a little nervous about but otherwise it was awesome.

Thanks ! I will say pavement was wet, or it was light sprinkles, and a lot of traffic, so I will give it the benefit of the doubt for not being able to see the road markings properly, etc. On the way up it was working fairly well, and it was really nice. A little eerie to get used to, but nice.

The railcar my truck was on was updated to "Empty Cleared Hold." Sounding like the truck has been unloaded! I reached out to the dealer in the A.M. yesterday and their last status update in their system was from the 17th. He told me I have more info than he does at this point. I've been doing some research, and it looks like these trucks can sit in the yard for up to 10+ days waiting on a car hauler. We're close boys!

It's bittersweet! I've been pulling everything off of the current rig to sale, wish I could keep both!

Dealership called last night as I was selling my Hyundai, truck has been delivered. Plan is to pick it up today. I’ll get pictures, I used X-Plan pricing but I’ll post the my deal as well.

I hear you I sold my 2015 Canyon Saturday It was a great vehicle that I had no issues with but I wanted more creature comforts and tech. I have been second guessing myself since but I'm sure once the new truck gets here that will change

Yeah, the Platinum is so nice! You'll enjoy it a lot I'm sure. I'm still trying to figure out all of the tech. I am having issues with my phone not charging on the charging pad (Pixel 4XL) but my wife's (Note 8) works fine so we'll see tomorrow when my Pixel 6 Pro arrives.
