I got the call from my dealership yesterday that it's in! Finally! I'll have to wait until the middle of the week for the bed liner to be installed before I can go get it, but I might be able to go do my pre-delivery inspection this weekend while it's waiting. Getting really close now. Not holding my breath on getting anything close to decent for my trade...and we'll see about what they try to stick me with on price since it should be price protected and there were things removed by Ford.

Picked her up in Alabama this morning and made the 2.5 hour ride home! It was a great ride but already have a little paint chip on front passenger side fender!!! Here she is in driveway after installing Bedrug in bed!

Long Lewis won’t give me the pricing breakdown until truck hits the lot. Not worried about that, just for them to check incentives vs when I ordered in Jan. I may PM you later. Planning to have them add accessories and just want everything as done as I can paperwork wise before driving 1.5 hours over from home.

I like the Undercover Armorflex. I like that, when open, it does not rest on cab of truck. Plus it has a LineX - like coating on surface for - hopefully - long lasting durability! Installed wheel well liners and splash guards yesterday and LED license plate lights today ?! Received quote for PPL and Ceramic Coating and probably gonna schedule that tomorrow for next week! Really liking the truck for all 300 miles so far !? Hope it stays that way! Big challenge for me will be learning how to park the beast!?‍? I did all the paperwork virtually before I got to dealer. I inspected truck - missed a couple things - handed them a check and was gone like the wind! Super easy and they were ready!! So, 2.5 hr ride there, was there about a half hour, then 2.5 hour ride home in the new truck!! Good luck! I am sure it will go smoothly but gotta get your truck there!!!

Yeah, sold my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon last Wednesday in a private sale for same reason! Went one day without a car and a kind neighbor drove me from Nashville to Muscle Shoals to ge the truck on Friday! Good luck!

I am not trying to bore you all with details of my truck's journey... But I think this story is a good example of not just Ford being screwed up! That other companies are just as clueless!

My truck left Salem, IL on July 6th, headed for Kirby, TX where the Union Pacific has a rail yard (a 960 mile trip).. So it literally had to pass through Round Rock, TX where the dealership is..
I have been calling Union Pacific daily and the update was the rail car in question would reach Kirby by Monday, July 11th including yesterday when I called and the train was 160 miles away.
I called just now and the train is literally 25 miles away from the Kirby TX yard and the estimated arrival date is July 13th!!!!!
So it takes 4 days to cover about 950 miles and 2 more days to cover the last 25 miles? We all get frustrated with Ford... I am not sure the companies Ford depends on for parts delivery or truck shipment are much better!

Tracker work for anyone lately?

It's been about 1 1/2 weeks since I could get any results on in for my order on it????? It did work for a day or two after I got the "Built" email, then nothing ever again. They must have cut me off!

Chat says there are no holds and my truck was released for shipping on 6/29, but still "awaiting shipment". They claim my eta is still 7/30, but I definately think that's blown if it isn't shipped yet!

Maybe I'll get lucky like Forwell who got the call that his truck was ready to pick up, but the tracker still said Awaiting Shippment.

Sigh..........

Got an email from Ford (pasted below). Hopefully the timeline this time is accurate. Also, not sure why they say they need additional time. Is this just a normal shipping delay email or do they actually need to do more work to my truck?


Email body:

To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your 2022 F-150 LARIAT is delivered to [Dealer Name]. Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of June 20, 2022, and June 26, 2022, has been updated to between July 15, 2022, and July 21, 2022.

We will continue to keep you informed regarding your vehicle’s estimated time of delivery.

My Platinum was delivered to the dealer on Friday. It's waiting for the spray-in bed liner going in today. I was able to go in to the dealer over the weekend and do my inspection. I spent an hour and a half going through it finding just a couple of small things. I was pleasantly surprised to see tha the undercarriage was coated...so no rust! Also, I took a couple of pictures...it's not cleaned up yet...but there's proof that it exists!! Sadly, my schedule doesn't allow me the chance to pick it up until this Friday...8 months and 1 week after ordering.

I'll post more after I pick it up and get the mirror caps, lugs, antenna changed.

I have an agate black BAP Lariat on a rail car..
Did you order black caps that will be swapped out? Do you have a part number?

I ordered color matched painted OEM caps from Ebay. I'll swap them out when I get it home. It takes about 5 minutes from what I've seen. The part numbers for the black caps from Ford are easy enough to find...they are the same as the Super Duty. You can also find them from this site:

My truck literally passed past my dealership and my house in Round Rock TX several days ago all the way to San Antonio where Union Pacific has a auto yard.. It needs to be hauled back north 90 miles to the dealership.. Hopefully in the next few days..
This website says their black caps are textured. I guess I will have to buy the paint grade ones and get them painted..
