Ford: Has chips to build new trucks.
Also Ford: Doesn’t complete the truck builds and puts them into a “chip hold” due to a shortage, but continues to manufacture new ones.
People waiting months for their order : ?

I’d much rather have the all black. But every lariat sport I’ve seen all have the stupid chrome… must be because the power telescope and power fold are just all manufactured with the chrome caps by default. ? definitely will replace the chrome asap. But that’s if the truck comes in… lol

Yeah...I ordered the Black Appearance Package to get rid of all of the chrome, but the tow mirrors are coming with the chrome caps. I ordered body color painted ones from Ebay. They showed up a couple of days ago. It was pretty funny because I showed my wife the parts and told her they were shipping my truck to me in small pieces...some assembly required.

I’m happy to see something other than in production for the first time in a long time.
At least Order Track even shows up every time I go to it. The ford tracking page doesn’t even give me results at least 80% of the times I try it. Just reloads back to the order # vin # form about every time.

When the Ford tracking page doesn't seem to load anything, try opening it using the "Incognito" browser in Chrome, or Private in Edge. It seems to be a weird caching issue on the Ford site.

ha! Ford's now Ikea. Assembly required. How much did it cost from Ebay? i saw some out there that were painted but it was a few hundred... couldn't justify a few hundred for some painted plastic. May just get the black caps and call it good.

I'll try edge. I definately have had some "better" results on my phone on safari. But, still way less that what any company would think is acceptable for their website. I have tried he incognito trick, too. No luck.

It's amazing that a large corporation would accept a system to be as lousy as their tracking system is. in any regular company, people would get fired for failing so misearably!

Maybe I need to use my VPN from out of country to get a result!

Edit: Funny I tried an incognito window though my VPN as Frankfurt, Germany and it did actually load tracking results! Still says "In production" on ford, so I'll just pay attention to the Order Track app's "Awaiting Shipment" I trust it more, anyway.

I have an agate black Lariat PB BAP on order with tow mirrors.. Is it going to come with chrome caps?

The painted ones were $269. After spending $80K what's another couple hundred to keep me from saying "ew" every time I see them. The plain black from Ford are definitely cheaper.

Yes, the BAP is coming with chrome caps on the tow mirrors for Lariat and above.

Looks like they just have red and white left right now, but I figure they will do more. The thin I liked about these were that they are OEM parts painted to match. They look good. I also saw pictures of them installed by another BAP owner on a different forum...they make a big difference.

My tracker still says awaiting shipment but I woke up to this email today so feeling pretty good. Lariat 502a ..PB Ordered 12/24....Blend 06/09.
