Have you checked if you have modules populated? I am not sure what that means exactly.. When the modules are populated and yet the VVS - the tool the dealer uses to check the status of the truck still says chip hold..
I have a blend date of 06/10 also with #6870.. And my dealer said the same thing..

I wonder if someone knows what exactly does the presence indicate? Do the modules populate only after all the chips are in or do they populate with the presence of a partial set of chips..
I had modules and was on chip hold. Modules populated, had the In Production date on the tracker. Was missing 59 lines of 754's on the as built. Got those 10 weeks later. So having modules on the as built does not mean they are all there.
Good luck, hopefully you don't have to wait 10 weeks like me

So it looks like modules can populate before all chips are in!
In my case, I have the 59 lines of 754s.. But chances are I am missing other numbers!
Thank you for the clarification!

What is the total number of lines of modules we should expect? I have 965 BCE Lines.

Not all of them have 3 values next to them. Some have 1 or 2 values. Are those incomplete modules or is that normal?

I'd like to know this too, if only for my own nerdy brain

So bad news from my dealer today. I’m 6/6/22 build week and 6/10/22 blend date (#6547) for my 2022 Lariat PB, and my dealer has told me that my truck is on chip hold, with a release date of 7/23/22. If that all goes according to plan, could take up to a month after release date for final delivery, as it’s traveling by rail to Utah. This is consistent with Ford Customer service, who indicated the same 7/23 release date, but no delivery date yet. So truck is built, modules populated, but now on chip hold. I would imagine this impacting subsequent build weeks in June.
I'm sorry man ?

Out of curiosity, I looked at 2 other 502a trucks that have shipped from our week.

They had 1009 and 931 modules, and did see that some of them are 1 or 2 value lines and were similar to what I was seeing on my list.

Could you imagine the response if you asked your dealer? :ROFLMAO:

I’m all for “the more you know” but this whole tracking system has my head spinning. Just wish Ford would put out a tracker that was actually useful… here’s to hoping for built emails tomorrow for us stuck in (potential) chip hold purgatory

I've got 989 modules in my 501a truck that is already shipped.

Looks like it has been offloaded at the final rail yard in Houston (Pearland) today. So I would think I would get a call this week sometime to pick it up.

I agree with you that Ford could do a much better job of providing updates..
Amazon and any number of other companies provide far better updates on the entire process.. From processing to on hold, or a ship date in the future.. And full shipping details!
Ironically they all provide this detailed information on products that cost mere dollars to hundreds of dollars AND they do this for tens of thousands of orders per day..
Ford, on the other hand, has to track about 4000 F150 orders per day and the average price of each of these is easily upwards of $50,000!
One would think any company would track low volume and very high value items!
If Ford thought it was important to provide this service to its customers, they would do it... I am not sure they think it is necessary for them to do it!

Well another possible step forward. In Ford Pass, in the vehicle tab, a wifi hotspot option has shown up. It wasn't there yesterday. Clicking on it takes to ford website that allows you to sign up for 3 months of free mobile data. Another indication that for the late week folks our trucks might be complete? Then again ford could just be playing with us.

I don't show any 1009 or 931, but that could be anything. Moon roof stuff, backup assist stuff, etc. No clue.

Mine is "released" right now so presumably ready to load onto convoy for its 37-mile journey to the dealership lol

So comparing mine to @SWillier here is what I see. Now, my truck is a 501a, theirs is 502a so some of these differences could very well be down to that or option differences. I'm just listing the difference. It's very possible whatever is putting it on "Chip Hold" is not even listed on this module list too, i don't know.
  • My truck has 733-01-01=>13& 733-02-01=>04. SWillier's does not have these
  • SWillier's truck has 734-01-01=>04 & 734-02-01=>04 populated. Mine does not have these
  • My truck has 7C4-01-01=>04 & 7C6-01-01=>04 populated, SWillier's does not
  • My truck has 7E4-01-01=>07 populated, SWillier's does not

I think they use chip hold as what they think is the acceptable excuse for any delay. Missing bolt = Chip Hold.

Exactly, that was kind of the point of my "disclaimer" at the beginning of my post. Not that we would have any clue, they could tell us anything.
