I'm wondering if my idea to set a mousetrap is correct. I pressed the activate button several days ago. If they start the vehicle to move it, would that change to "activated" or something?

I have no idea how any of this works but I’m almost positive after all these months that you can’t have an activate button without a live truck! Maybe the module site is acting weird but they’re moving!

I think you may be on to something here. Normally - if there is a normal with ford these days - modules get populated then a built email then Ford pass gets activated after those 2 things. Getting the activation button already does suggest maybe our trucks have been built but the mod system or the tracker isn't working right. I may have broken it by checking so often ?.

The ford tracker rarely works for me so only have the module tracker thanks to someone on this forum that built it.

I’m also seeing the Activate button, blend 6/10, 6179.

No modules yet.. hoping this is good news and not just a glitch!

Edit: In production as of 6/17 per Ford tracker

this is just a guess but I would assume that your phone would have to be near it to fully activate it

My blend date is 06/10..6870 and I got the activate button just now.. I have been texting with my sales guy at the dealership and he said that this means the modem on the truck is active and that means the truck is mostly built..

Sooooooooo... Sooooooooo ?

Barring any chip holds.. Ford should push out all our trucks in the next couple of days right? They have little incentive to hold on to them and (unlike us) gaze soulfully into the eyes of our trucks! ?

Does anyone know when the tracker says "The dealership is making the final preparation for your new vehicle" if the vehicle is actually delivered? Mine updated on Wednesday to that but no communication from dealer yet.

My blend date was 6/9. In the last 24 hours, the ordertrack app went from “in transit” to “awaiting shipment” back to “in transit.” The official ford tracker went from “in production” straight to “shipped” then back to “built” and then back to “shipped” and I just checked it and it says “in production.” Chat told me yesterday I had a convoy number and an ETA of 7/16. I got the built and shipped emails at the same time this morning. If anyone can interpret all that you’re better than me! I’m hoping it’s on its way and now I just have to wait and see. Regardless, I’m not sure any of us can trust the normal process this week given how weird it’s been…

I understand all this is very frustrating... And I cannot understand how the systems at one of the largest companies can be so bad...

Having said that, I would love to be in your shoes ?.. It looks like you have a truck that is on it's way to you despite Ford systems trying their best to confuse you ! Congratulations!

If you have the activate button hopefully you’ll be getting all these confusing messages soon!

My random guess is that the truck is in a certain mode before it’s delivered to a dealer, like a transit mode or something. Then the dealer will put it in normal mode and it’s ready to activate.

I was texting with my sales guy this morning and he said the same thing.. They activate it in Ford Pass once the truck is in their possession..
