You and me both man. Chip hold to plant hold to received at ramp 51 to received at body shop
I can't even get more info than Ramp 59. While, if I had any idea that it could cause a delay I would not have included it, I do have a spray in bedliner on my order. But even with that, so far all I have ever been told is that the truck is at Ramp 59 awaiting shipment, or on plant hold. If it has moved since being built, no one who I have been able to communicate with has ever gave any mention of it when I have asked.

I only found out about the offsite from a guy at marketing who was actually really helpful in trying to get me information. Everyone else for the last week has just said received but didn’t know what it meant. Supposedly it will be done with the liner by 6/18. Wish my dealer would have told me it could cause delays when I ordered

So ford told me June 10th and I called jack copper to track it and see if they have a date to pick it up and they’re saying no. I can’t understand why ford would move up my eta by over a month then still not have the truck there. This customer service experience is just flat out terrible.

Interesting things learned today from a buddy who is in charge of loading trains with trucks.

They can take chips out of our trucks 4 times to move them before they have to send them. They have trucks sitting in the railroad lots for over 60 days with no rail cars to move them, with over 10,000 at off sites.


Little insight on today
LAP - louisville auto plant.. can hold 120 railcars a day...they got 17 today..averaging 30 or less all year... they have enough product to load 317 railcars right now...KTP has enough product to load 572 railcars...when I left work today we needed 110 railcars to be current...thats just the 3 place here in Louisville.

They don't have the railroad crews to run the train now because of all the cuts they made to the work force

The really sad thing is that this sounds completely believable to me & a lot like it is outside of Ford's control. Why do we have to hear this outside of Ford's "normal" chains of communication. I would not be nearly so angry with Ford for refusing to tell me anything about why my truck is sitting at the factory 10 weeks after being built, if they would just give me honest information about the hold up. What could Ford possibly benefit, from alienating Customers such as myself, by refusing to tell us anything?

This still doesn't explain why truck blended after ours are making it to dealer lots. This tells me they are prioritized the trucks on the production lines and not ones waiting for chips.
Yeah I seen a platinum on my dealers website today with a blend date of 5/5/22… mine was 3/27 lol wtf

I’ve seen multiple Platinums hit my same dealer’s lot that was built in May. They def prioritize the line over the lot, no doubt about it. Then on top of it, the whole time sitting in the lot they don’t send them offsite to get the other items like bed liner done. A bunch of planning people over there need to have a serious sit down on process improvements.

I am contemplating buying a truck with a 5/7 blend date, similar to what I ordered, at a dealer about 100 miles from my home. The blend date on my truck is 3/23. Ford has made me so mad with this crap, that I will never get over it & my loyalty to Ford will never return. The only thing making me hesitate is that I don’t want to reward ford with a purchase. What to do? I do need a truck.

awesome news man. Just keep asking daily if a rail car # has been assigned. Once you get that, it’s on the move. Also, keep in mind that even though Mine was on a train, the chat still said it was at the ramp. Once you get the rail car info, you can forget about ever having to deal with chat again.
