Here's what @Pioneer74 said about a half hour ago in response to my question about chip holds.
Unfortunately, last year at this time the Chip Hold lasted 3 months. Hopefully, the delay for trucks already built won't be that long.

Exactly! Maybe that's why we see the three-month swings in the delivery ETAs as they worse-case and then adjust as supplies come in.

I use to tell the team if the norm is two weeks, tell the customer four weeks. Even if it's delayed by a week from the norm, you're a hero. Tell them two and it's delayed by a week, you failed. However, we never kept changing the ETA - it's going to take two weeks, no four weeks, now it's less than two weeks, no it's now five weeks. My gosh - I would have been fired!

My sync is now up to date and my eta is 2/14/22.. I’m sure they put that one in there just to get my hopes up…. Let the roller coaster ride begin.

So when a batch of chips comes in, who gets priority, the trucks on chip hold or the trucks on the line at that time?

I feel like the chip holds should get it, but there is a part of me that looks at the efficiency of Mr. Ford’s assembly line thinking maybe they only clear the backlog once they have excess chips.

I believe they will give the chips for lines first.

Obviously, Ford as well as other manufacturers know there is a supply issue regarding Chips. It seemed to be resolved in December, but last week there was a story that stated the Chip Supply issue was expected to last another 6 months. Chips will contine to be received by Ford, but not an unlimited supply and definately not on a weekly basis. I know they started using additional suppliers late last year. I can't see the Chip Hold lasting 3 months, but could see it lasting 3-4 weeks before shipment.

I should added that question when I asked @Pioneer74 about chip holds.

My Lariat order does not have the tow tech package and has the 360 camera added as an option item. Could be the B&P glitch
I'm not sure if this case with you build but the B&P is adding the 360 Camera as part of the Trailer Tow mirror package. It doesn't show on the build summary but it is included in the total price on the B&P.

A buddy of mine had his 2021 held up at the plant for about 10 days at the end of November with a chip hold. I'm hopeful it's a shorter lived holdup this time around.

Maybe it's different for the Lariat (the 2022 F-150 Order Guide would clarify), but for my King Ranch order these are three separate options - Trailer Tow Pkg (53A), Tow Mirrors (54W), and 360° Cameras (763). The cameras are part of the Tow Tech Pkg (17T). The Tow Mirrors require either the Trailer Tow Pkg or the Max Tow Pkg.

Edit: Added the Option Codes above.

Yes the order guide lists the items as all separate options. The B&P is jacked up and adds the 360 cameras when you include the tow mirrors even on the KR. There is no stand lone 360 Camera on the current B&P. At least you are getting an accurate cost on the B&P if you want all three options. It certainly is leading to a lot of confusion.

Confusion - exactly! I just added the option codes to my post above. While reviewing the King Ranch entry in the order guide. I see the 360° Camera Pkg as an option requires either the Trailer Tow or Max Tow Pkgs. It seems like all this stuff is written and organized by a former IRS employee who writes tax code!

Well, my VIN now magically doesn't come up in the palsapp database. Chip hold maybe? Guess I'll ask my dealer on Friday.
And my vin shows up again in the palsapp database. It has a freight bill # but no destination as of yet. At least it shows origin as Kansas City.

Good news - You're one of our three KCAP builds so it stands to reason from what we're seeing with the previous weeks' builds. The rest of us are DTP. Does the Ford tracker show a built date or shipped on the timeline?
