My cancelled one showed up at dealer 2 weeks ago... it was awfully nice of a dealer that said they never ADM vehicles knocked $500 off the $1,000 markup they put on it..
All the dealer is going to do is use a couple cans of spray bomb undercoating on the rusted areas to cover it up. Unless they physically remove the rust before they coat it, it's just going to be putting lipstick on a pig.
You've got surface rust on the thickest pieces of metal on the...
Totalling a vehicle used to be estimate had to exceed 50% of the value of the vehicle. Now its around the 75% mark. I hit a deer about 8yrs ago with a stripped down Ram 1500 2WD. Value of truck was $22K, estimate was $15K. It got fixed, it was just under their threshold, even with both...
This is what you get when web developers don't use test servers...
But it is hilarious... I'd show it to your salesman when you go to pick it up and ask where the Model T is, and how do you operate the power windows? :)

I shouldn't bitch, only 2 manufacturers seem to make 2 door short beds anymore... #1 and #2 on the sales list.... and I have a feeling #2 will stop at the end of 2023 when the Hemi goes away in...
Long story short... but no, it will not stop the frame and other metal parts on your truck from rusting. All metals, whether it's iron, steel, aluminum will corrode over time. Best bet is each fall take it into a place that does something like Oilgard or other oil based coating and have them...
Thanks for the info.. I thought once the consumer cancelled the dealer had to switch the order to a dealer stock order at least..
Naw.. not a full blown unicorn.. it was a regular cab short bed XL 4WD :)
If a special order is cancelled by the customer after a build date is assigned but before the truck is assembled (over a month before), is the dealer not supposed to cancel the order with Ford or can they continue the order under the persons name? Inquiring minds want to know...
Yup…,, you’re old. ;)
Another trick is to drill holes in tailpipe above axle…. Incoming air mixes with exhaust to dilute it a bit so it’d pass the tailpipe smog test….
