update: back from dealer. they replaced hybrid transaxle (?). it has been running amazingly well...and I have been pushing it quite a bit. hopefully problem solved.

20 business days in the shop, still not repaired. only time I receivce any update is when I ask, and the information is 'yours is probably up next'. terribly useful.

Was going to get a small trailer, but a few things popped up, and I am low on cash. Thinking of doing a bed tent, any favorites? (assuming I get my truck back from the shop in 2021)

Update . Still waiting on repair. Lemon law in NC is 20 business days in shop. Getting close.

I realize I never updated. When I brought it in they said I needed a new hybrid powertrain but it was fine to drive until it came in. This morning truck went dead when I was stopped and I was stuck in a road for 15 minutes because it wouldn't start. Got it towed to the dealership we'll see if it...

sure makes sense. I have the power tailgate...(it is ridiculous...but yet I got it) and was thinking about getting a topper like you mentioned and wanted to make sure I was not missing a critical issue.

may be a naive question, but why would it matter to have the power tailgate with that topper?
