Update: Ford came through... Got the shaft seal to the dealer by Friday. Picked up the truck on Tuesday. All seems fine. Was told once Ford gets involved, other dealers can’t hold back parts in stock. Went through something similar with Chevy supply chain on my last truck. Ford handled it much...
Dealer says it’s a shaft seal. Caught it early so no damage but has potential to become a big deal if left alone (I don’t have any experience with a shaft seal). Part they need is in back order. Ford is supposed to give them an approx eta by Monday for the part. They’re keeping the truck for...
There’s a video on YouTube that shows the process of checking the fluid level but you got to be careful around the exhaust. I suck at being careful so I’m leaving it alone… good info to know in a pinch though…
Will do. Appointment on Tuesday. Truck has been running fine. Haven’t checked the transmission dip stick. Going to let the dealer mess with it. Agree, doesn’t look good.
Anybody dealing with an oil leak behind the transmission pan? Truck is a powerboost with just under 10k miles. I read about a similar issue with gaskets/plastic pans on previous f150 gens, but couldn’t find anything on here. Taking to dealer next week.
Thanks! I haven’t hand calculated yet but I’m guessing in the 1.5ish mpg loss. I should clarify, I don’t look at the mpg much, so I’m probably not the best source for mpg hit. As far as feeling the weight… Depends on the type of driving. Town: yes a little. Highway: not so much. At first I felt...
Having the same issue. Lights work, no brakes. For what it’s worth, new/different truck may not fix it. Had a 2020 Chevy trail boss before my 2021 F150 and the Chevy had several connection issues with the same trailer. Sometimes breaks and lights not working. Truck wouldn’t recognize a trailer...
Getting new tires soon. Never had Mickey tires before. Looking at the pattern listed above. Anyone have any personal experience on these tires? I tow a small TT and do a little off-roading (aka dove hunts). Thanks for any input.
One month ownership. Just completed a 2,000 mile round trip to CB, CO. Powerboost… no issues. Roughly 3,500 total mileage. 20.5 avg mpg on the way up, mix of 65-80mph. 21.5 mpg on the way down. Loaded up pretty good. Couple MTBs on the back. Truck has exceeded expectations.
I don’t have any info about using the vendor list… but with Real Truck, I’ve had luck using their chat feature while viewing the product on their website… receiving a discount from a chat rep. Might be more discount through membership mentioned above, but just FYI
Hello from Central Texas. Picked up a 21 Lariat PB this week. Coming from Chevy TB with the 6.2L. This forum has already helped me with a hopefully minor breaker reset issue.
