Good to hear and glad to help! It seems that these trucks were just pushed through the assembly line a little too quickly and these were not clipped properly…
It’s fairly simple to pop it off - just feel around the edges and gently start to pull. You’ll notice one area or another that feels like it wants to give and then it should just pop off. No clips - just plastic flanges that secure back to the housing when finished.
The sensors are located behind the plastic cover just behind your rear view mirror - the rain sensor is the sensor to the far right. Mine was popped out - in these pics it is seen as reset as I already snapped it back in. It worked properly right after snapping it in place.
The iPhone (Apple, in general) seems to have a better stability track record with connected products (I've had several Apple and Droid products over the years). Related to this issue; I tried many other fixes as stated in this thread and from elsewhere - no luck. Same issue. I simply went...
I've had my new truck for a month or so and first paired it with an iPhone 12 with zero issues. Just 3 days ago I decided to try the new Samsung S21 Ultra and I now get the same errors everyone here is speaking of (hence me back in the Forum looking for a solution). I post this only to say...
UPDATE: While outside of the truck and standing at the hood looking at the windshield and the cameras, I noticed that the rain sensing wiper sensor had a weird shadow. On a hunch, I took off the plastic camera cover by the mirror (inside the cab) and it was immediately clear what my issue was -...
I was wondering about over the air updates for some of my required fixes for issues when I came upon your thread; I’m not sure of the trim model and sync system you have for your truck, but I believe you have to click the “Updates set to” button on your Ford Pass App while behind the wheel and...
After 500 miles on my 2021 Lariat:
Auto wipers (rain sensing wipers) - backwards. When enabled and it rains, they don’t go on. When it’s sunny, they go on. Ford admitted there was an issue and needs my truck for 2+ days to reprogram.
“Headlight System Error - See Owners Manual” flashed on my...
Yes, it's a quick fix (going old school wipers until a fix). Also, since our trucks now have "over the air" updates, one would think that we'd just wake up one morning and have it fixed vs. making appointments. We shall see... good luck!
I've just joined this thread for the very reason most of us are here - my rain-sensing wipers don't sense.
I live in Florida where we get rain every afternoon which gives me plenty of opportunities to use them. During a recent rainstorm, I enabled the function in the main system/screen and...
