I expect you know this, but the finance guys don't make money unless they sell financing, warranties and other add-ons. I feel your pain as I just went through the same experience with my dealer (but not 4 hours worth). I won't put enough miles on my truck to justify extended warranties. I'm...
I see the same thing if I sell an item on Marketplace, craigslist, etc. from buyers. Everyone wants an item as cheaply as possible and there are a lot of tactics they use because they think they work. Perhaps they do, sometimes. Criticizing the item, the "I can get it elsewhere better and...
Having sold more than a few vehicles at a dealership, I find it a bit amusing when people complain about the experience. I don't like the process either but can assure you that the customers play as many games as the salespeople and their managers.
I wouldn't have paid the freight, but the power fold instead of manual makes life a lot easier. And it's probably better than cutting slots in the walls for the mirrors to clear. ;)
It's a '66 like my dad's old car that he bought new when he got back from Vietnam. It's solid, but does have cowl rust so I'm replacing those and adding a new interior. Factory 200 but now has a later 200 block with a 250 head, headers and a Weber 38. I'm debating on going V8 but will finish the...
The entrances to my garages are fairly narrow, so I decided to invest in power folding mirrors that can be manually extended for towing. I like them a lot after two weeks of use. They make parking much easier and improve the experience when towing a car trailer. The upper and lower mirrors are...
These are before and after pics of my 2025 PB 4WD. It's subtle but does lower the tailgate about 1". I'm debating on whether to go with a lowering kit. Easy job, but I had to cut down the U-bolts a bit to get a deep socket on them after removing the blocks. I torqued the nuts to 25 ft/lbs. all...
In my experience, a good CAI is worth it IF your engine needs more air. If the engine is (highly) modified, it may be worth it. If it's stock, no. Ford has pretty damn good engineers on the payroll, and the factory intake is going to give a stock engine the air it requires.
The only stuff...
I was prepared to pay cash, but the dealer offered a $3k discount if I financed the truck and made 3 payments. I put $10k down and the payments are $462 per month. In January I'll pay the balance and will have saved $3k. The games we play...
I suspect that the correct intake fits properly. I've purchased from them before, and their products are of good quality. Their support has also been good to deal with.
