I was having trouble with this as well, it’s because i didn’t do it correctly first time, and what I had to do was completely put it back into maintenance mode then take it out of maintenance mode.
The Uniball icon is very expensive and if you’re not offroading a lot, a regular style ball joint is better. I’ve had to service many of the uniball uca because they creak and moan
How loud were the ebc? I was thinking of getting the orange pads, my exhaust is loud and unfortunately I’m as heavy on brakes as gas. Gotta be able to slow down fast if you accelerate fast. Going with the ebc slotted rotors to, just new rotors in front, ebc orange pads all around. I can handle...
My truck definitely feels stiffer with puck, the control arm is definitely at a more downward position making me think that is what is making it stiffer over bumps at least at 25-35 moh
Try the colder spark plugs, and boosted engines go through plugs faster than non boost. I change mine every 10-15k miles. Depending on how I’ve been driving. I also pump out 4qrts of trans fluid and pump 4 new quarts back in every 10k miles. I found the the truck likes the colder plugs. I don’t...
If you are happy with not having blocks, blocks are not beneficial in any way other than raising the hight. It actually gives more leverage for axle wrap, especially big blocks. The longer stick leverage. If you do want to lift it I’d go shackles. Grease able if possible. Because it sits between...
That being said, I rode in a 2022 tundra with 6in rough country vertex lift and it felt soooo good, I’m gonna ditch my front falcons and spacer and get the 3in vertex adjustable coil overs and lower it to 2.5in love a little rake. I think that’s better than getting 2in and cranking up.
Incase anyone like myself comes across an older thread, I have a 22 stx 4x4 and I put the falcon sport tow front struts and rear shocks. The front reuses the factory coil springs. Pain in the rear, I have them left on stock ride hight I put the tremor steering knuckle on 1 year later it it’s...
Sorry I know super old thread. But I was racing my daily with Bwoody diff brace front and back, because it’s not a race truck lol it’s a 4door 4x4 eco that’s tuned proper. Runs mid 11s on 33in all terrains. Can’t add ethanol tune because I lose too much traction in 4h I want to run e-50 with...
Amen. I was always a Toyota guy. First non Toyota truck is 22 3.5 and i absolutely love it. Love how trim levels you can get and the price range. I got exactly what I wanted, the most basic package with 4x4 4 doors and stx and it was like 52k tow package as well. No intention of racing it, which...
If a car manufacturer only had to change air filter design to gain more horsepower to advertise I’m sure they would spend an extra 20cents to do so. It’s rare, even for cold air intakes to get better power.
MPT tuned my 22 ecoboost screw cab and stock everything but intake and intercooler. Non ethanol ran an 11.5 at drags on 33 in allterains. MPT posted it on their social. My best 0-60 at drags is 3.28 and I was spinning tires in 4h the dragy is always slightly slower than drag times. This run was...
I felt the same way until I had my truck tuned. No longer skips gears, never looks for gears. I used MPT and had amazing results both trans and engine. I took advice of free tune adjustments and got my trans shifting exactly how I wanted it. One tune was a little soft. One tune the shifts were...
I’m pretty sure ford uses factory long block in their gt race car that has over 700hp definitely different cams and fuel delivery and turbos. I’m under the impression with a quality tune and good maintenance 550-600 crank hp is pretty much in the reliable zone.
