OK I get that it‘s a replaceable component, but it is essentially a computer that controls the truck. Not to mention I’m relying on a tech who may have effed it up to begin with and now has to re-program it correctly with the tune for the Whipple. I also thought the PCM was a major repair, so...
2024 RCSB Whipple only 2400 mi
When starting the truck for the first time in the morning, I’d shift into “R”, hear a loud chirp, then the money light would come on as well as the pre-collision assist not available, service advance trac and check brake system warnings. Used my scanner, no...
2024 5.0L Coyote…..as others have stated, the high idle seems to take forever to settle out. But I have noticed a loud “chirp” when I shift into R after letting the idle settle. Only happens with the first start of the day and not thereafter…anyone else?
Update: the replacement running board was actually delivered to me today. Long overdue IMO, but since it did arrive, I can't complain. I will still look elsewhere when I purchase running boards in the future.
Yes. The boards are cut to fit, Amp put out some vids on how to cut them. Plus, whether they are cut or not, the crappy PTFE coating is warrantied for 5 years. But my takeaway is that warranty isn’t worth the paper with which it’s written.
Yup, BBB states this on their site. Real reason for my post is to possibly save others from the same grief. Once other people vote with their wallets and cause Amp to lose business, then maybe Amp will step up (Pun intended !)
I like the way you think! Problem is I have a single cab and the defective board has been cut shorter to fit my truck. I repaired the chipped spots with rattle can wheel well liner and it blends in pretty well. The PTFE coating applied at the factory is thinner than tissue paper (thanks Amp...
Running boards mounted on the truck by dealership on 1/31/25. The “PTFE” coating began to chip in April. Because there is a 5 year warranty, I filed a claim (dealership wouldn’t do it), it was accepted by Amp. They claimed I’d have my replacement board in 4 weeks. 4 weeks? Why so long, but...
I was unaware of the port on the front of the blower casing. I originally intended to use the port on the rear, but there was no access unless you remove the blower. So I went with Banks. Not as accurate as using the blower ports, but good enough for me.
No. You can access the two bolts holding the tow hooks without removing the rubber surrounds….remove the front bolt completely, just loosen the rear bolt and remove the hooks by pulling out towards the front. To install the red ones, just reverse the procedure.
