  1. PCM update with recall- should I leave it alone when updating other modules with FDRS?

I just got my mongoose cable and will try and fire it up this weekend, but there is still the PCM update/recall I have not been able to take in and address with the dealer. I'm assuming this would be one FDRS would list as having an update. Should I just skip it?
  2. Random Long Hesitation at Take Off When Cold

I'm pretty sure the ICE was not running at the stop sign, it usually kicks right on as soon as I put a bit of pressure on the accelerator. I was in enough of panic mode I don't recall if actually ever kicked on, I think it was kept in electric the whole time. Once I tried again and really gave...
  3. Random Long Hesitation at Take Off When Cold

So this just happened with me trying to pull out into a faster moving road. I pressed the gas and there was minimal movement, like I took my foot off the brake and was idling slowly forward. I hit the brake, shifted into reverse and it was the same minimal ability to move the 10 feet or so...
  4. Yet another question about hooking up the truck to the house- interlock and subpanels

Thanks to everyone for the info and explanations, I'll give him a link to this discussion and he can let me know what he wants to do.
  5. Yet another question about hooking up the truck to the house- interlock and subpanels

Thanks Hullguy- hoping the interlock was an answer, but looks like I’ll need to sort through the switch. Appreciate your response.
  6. Yet another question about hooking up the truck to the house- interlock and subpanels

I'll apologize in advance for yet another question about this- but I've read all the threads I can find and still am not sure. I have an electrician friend to manage this, but I would like to know a bit more myself. Background- I have a very old house- over 200 years old, with lots of...
  7. BlueCruise Review

I suppose it depends on where one does most of their driving. Bluecruise works on some roads better than others around me in south central PA, the more curves the more it drops and I have to grab the wheel. A road trip to the midwest (roads are straight and flat) I was sorta bored after a...
  8. Iconic Silver OR Carbonized Grey XL?

Great colors either way, by far my favorite color with a car is silver. I have 4 silver cars in my stable now. My 19 year old Nissan titan is silver, lived entirely outside and still always looks clean. I chose the carbon grey just to do something different, no regrets but I still love silver.
  9. 2024 Navigation Now Subscription Based Only

I use Waze a vast majority of the time, so for me it isn't really necessary. I could see that with the new trucks having an option of a heads up display, the Ford nav could displays directions up on the windshield- that could be a bigger benefit. I believe mine shows the directions in the...
  10. Got FX4 Skid cover installed/goodbye Diaper

My 2023 fx4 didn't even have the fiber cover, not that I wanted it anyway.
  11. Price Breakdown Sheet from Dealer.....Wrote MSRP $2000 More than Window Sticker...Kind of Confused

Look at Chapman Ford in Horsham (outside of Philly). I can only comment on ordering through them not buying off their lot- but my '23 was ordered at 3% under invoice. Was the same, or very similar, to what Granger offered at the time but didn't have to fly west. The process was super easy...
  12. Opinions Wanted

    Agreed.
  13. Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit - updated with information

I'll have to look to see what adaptive steering is, I have the usual BC and lane centering- but guessing this is something different. I don't recall having to think about it when I ordered as I did with the other options, so will have to do some digging. Appreciate the response. If I...
  14. Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit - updated with information

I've read through this monster thread a few times over the last few months debating if it is worth doing. I have a June built '23 plat and am curious if I am likely to have any of the necessary parts already- like a heated steering wheel. Anyone run across these already installed and just a...
  15. Do you REALLY NEED 4×4?

I think the older I get, the less I need 4WD. There are still times I can get myself 100% stuck and I do need it, but I'm better at judging how to avoid it. Drive according to the environment.
  16. HELP: "Stop Safely Now" message?

Update to the update- got my truck back with the new APIM installed. The sync version is now 23291. Honestly not driven it much to see if there are still any gremlins, but the throttle response and power is quite a bit different. A lot of power early on and seems the battery regen is less...
  17. Request VIN Lookup Thread

Thanks! That's quite a bit more info than I had from Ford. My build date is sometime in June '23, so maybe there isn't much to update. The fordpass app has no info within the update software section as nothing has ever updated, I'll just let things play out. Thanks again, Steve
  18. Request VIN Lookup Thread

I took my truck in on 11/3 for them to look into my stop safely now issue (had the engine light and codes thrown) and after being hooked up all day, they said the APIM was bad and ordered another. When you are able, I would very much appreciate a look at what has been done so far. Luckily...
  19. HELP: "Stop Safely Now" message?

Just an update, dealer had my truck all day and updated what they could but had trouble. Had to order an apim module so not quite done. At least I have my truck for the weekend and will continue next week when the part comes in. Looks like sync is still the same version (23045 if I remember...
  20. HELP: "Stop Safely Now" message?

Just made my first appt with my 3 month old truck to get this dealt with. Yesterday was my second SSN message with 2700 miles on the odometer, also mentioned the quirky apple CarPlay noises and sync reboots I randomly get. I did check with forscan and have U0111, U0293, P1A43, U0140, U0293...
