I appreciate the advice. I bought some lug nut covers for ~$20 on Amazon. The black lug nuts from Ford were $175 and every where else had them at $60ish or more.
Been a crazy busy couple of weeks...but looking good and running great so far. Got the windows tinted (Mile High Window Tint), added the tonneau cover (Stage 3 Motorsports), added my spoiled dog's backseat couch (Chewy), added some Husky Liners for the interior. So far, so good.
I stayed at the Hilton in Johnston/Urbandale. It was $140ish, but I believe it was a bit higher due to the state wrestling championships going on. I think it was maybe a 12 min drive.
For me, my truck built on 11/21, got my first email on 11/24 saying it was built with a delivery estimate of 12/3 to 12/9. On 12/20, I got an email saying the delivery estimate had changed to 12/18 to 12/24. On 12/27, I got an email saying 1/1 to 1/7, so there was really no pattern.
After the...
Mine let me do that when it was built also. It took a little less that 2 months to actually change to shipped, though.
Others have gone much quicker, so it is a bit of a mixed bag.
Looks great. I tried to build almost exactly that in 2023 with the black XLT with BAP. I struggled to find a way to add the tow mirrors on a 2023, though.
The new ETA Granger shows is 1/22 (not including their inspection), but I doubt that happens if it just updated to shipped yesterday.
Edited - removed redundancy.
Did the comparison also.
The local Denver dealers did not want to give me xplan to begin with, and once they did, the quote they gave me was two or three thousand higher than Granger. I ordered from Granger in late July, built 11/22, no ship date yet.
Congrats!
At this point, I'm just planning to be the last of the 11/21 build week F-150s to arrive at Granger.
It is still expected to arrive from 1/1 to 1/7.
Like others, I did credit card. I believe I was given the option of check, money order, debit, or (penalty free) credit -- I had the cash but chose credit just for the reward points my card gives me.
My XLT is still sitting on in production despite being an XLT that has 11/21 on in production and 11/22 on Built (but no checkmark). Asked Granger for an update, and their information still shows 1/1 to 1/7 ship date.
Mostly just wanting to take advantage of the 36 months no interest or 60...
I appreciate the response. All of my dates for everything but the Unscheduled-Clean (appears to be the date our orders were created) are within one day of yours.
Are you reaching out to Granger to get the new dates each time?
My latest email from Ford still says 1/1 to 1/7, so I assume I'm in a similar, recurring situation.
