I’m not expecting bad road conditions but thinking 4 wheel drive and the transmission Up front would assist with downhill control and transmission/engine braking power with a load. Just my thinking anyway.
I love hearing this. I really thought I would as well with the additional brake capacity of the regen and the lower gears but it is so good to hear from others. I really don’t want to feel that pucker factor going down the grade with a load.
I love hearing this. I’m certainly in no rush and I will go slow down the mountain. I am planning a mini test as soon as I can find some long hills somewhere close by. It’s worth a trial down a grade before I hit the mountains.
Thanks so much! I sure wish they made an f250 Powerboost though!
I bought a 31’ RV toy hauler that weights 7500 lbs with my sxs in it and my tongue weight is 985 with full payload below my sticker. Tows fine so far running in town with tow mode and trailer brakes work great.
I live in Texas and want to make a run to Red River NM but I am worried about the...
Did you finish towing in the mountains? I’m looking at towing my new toy in Colorado and it ism7500lbs meets the payload but still worried about long downhill in tow/haul mode being pushed down the hill. How were your brakes?
I am receiving this dreaded code recently as well - P0A1E-00-23 - It comes and goes regularly now. Anyone find out details on what actually solves the issue?
My new powerboost lariat has pre-collision assist with ‘Ithink’ automatic braking. From the Ford website, ‘If you don’t take corrective action and a collision is imminent, brakes can apply automatically.’.
My question is, DO brakes automatically apply when and if that car in front of you slams...
I am also in Texas. And yes the heat is extreme. They make some clear xpel that blocks heat but I cannot comment on how it does. My factory tint on the side windows seems good. I’m sure if I upgraded to xpel it would be better.
FWIW, I dont have a digital thermometer but I will say it’s really...
$300. I could have haggled them down but the guy was nice and his partner did my ceramic coating on the truck too.
The heat difference is extreme. I drove with it open today in full sun and it was very comfortable even on a hot day.
continuing to rabbit hole here what do you guys think of using this

Does anyone make an extra sunshade I can put on my moonroof for my 22 lariat crewcab? I want to roll back the automatic shade, add extra sunshade/insulation and roll back the truck built in shade.
When it is over 100 it still gets hot up top. Extra would be nice to keep it cooler!
Thanks
