VCT solenoids are a known issue across the coyote platform. Ive had a Coyote since 2011 and have replaced several VCT solenoids throughout the years for myself and friends.
Just did some testing, mine works with trailer connected. It can be turned on in Forscan. Its in the TRM. Trailer module has to detect a trailer otherwise.
Payload is 1775, towing a Xpress dual engine bay boat. We also tow our travel trailer which weighs in around 5500 lbs. I just got tired of it squatting since its lifted.
Finally added the brake controller. On my 24 all i had to buy was the switch and program with Forscan. Tested with my trailer and it worked. I also had checked the stock module and the part number was the same as the one in the kit they sell.

Personally i dont think the tech messed up. Unfortunately with modern vehicles and all of the bs running in the background errors happen. Typically they are an easy fix with IDS.
First question anyone should ask is what's your budget?
You will want a speaker that has a wide frequency in the front doors and high sensitivity. The higher the sensitivity the better the speaker performs on lower power.
