The TS rails will rest along the bed rails. Engineering has said that you will want to follow the max weight for your bed rails, specific to your truck. If you add a truck rack, you'll follow the weight ratings that the manufacturer recommends for the rack.

With the redesign of the MX4 TS, the rails won't be compatible with previous MX4 models or any other tonneau cover.
