There's a trick to disable the chime in Subaru's - worked with my '14 Forester & my '16 Outback. Turn the key to ACC (or pushbutton without being on the brake). Click & unclick the seatbelt 20 times within 30 seconds. Best done with two hands. One hand holding the seatbelt release button and...
This question is often asked around here. So far the answer is:
There's no Forscan code to electronically disable the noise.
You can unplug the speaker in the engine bay but the vehicle will report an error on the dash (which gets old pretty quick).
You can probably physically muffle the...
By any chance are you using CarPlay?
The CarPlay / screen miring feature joins the phone to the in-vehicle WiFi (even if you are not using mobile hotspot from the car).
I am able to use my iPhone over Bluetooth to the touchscreen & hotspot to my laptop at the same time. Just takes a bit of...
My update was clearly unsuccessful:
Though, trying to "force" the update by tapping on the touchscreen in the cab reports that everything is up to date.
I saw this come up in a different thread and took photos.
Here's where the cable on my PB is. Freely swinging from what I presume is the door release mechanism.
4k miles in and here's where the pull-cable on my PB currently resides:
The cable hangs freely...coincidently close to the hole into the wheel well.
It's not poking into the wheel well like the photo on this thread: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/whats-this.4341/
I'm having the exact same issue with my truck. The temp is dramatically wrong after the vehicle is setting the sun (obviously) but quickly stabilizes to +6~8 degrees warmer than ambient once I'm moving. The issue is not limited to sunny days - It's consistently off when the weather is overcast...
That was absolutely my experience when shopping for my PB. Unsure why every salesperson wanted to show me the gas compartment - I guess to show off the capless EasyFuel system (that's 10+ years old?)??
By the 3rd time a salesperson tried to rip the door open I was correcting them teaching them...
I am getting a "service procedure has been interrupted" error when trying to write the window open/close mod. Only on the DDM & PDM; BCM & APIM worked fine.
Any ideas what causes this error or how to resolve?
EDIT: I think I found the answer on one of your other posts - need to use a...
The XLT 302 package has the larger center touchscreen that is standard on the Lariat & above.
The 302 also has the "mostly digital" gauge cluster that supports MyView screens and customization of the top 4 gauges.
Figured it would be good to post these since so many of the interior photos...
The above two posts touch on this but just to call it out...
10% - 15% of the trailer weight ends up on the hitch. That weight is going to chip away at your payload capacity.
Once you add people and cargo to the tongue weight it becomes easy to hit the lower payload capacities before you max...
There's not "a lot" to test in the FordPass app. It's great at what it does...but it makes for a short checklist.
There are a couple of things that report (one way data, no interaction) -
Odometer, fuel level (& distance to empty), oil life, and tire PSI.
ProPower readout if the truck has...
Likewise - I found six stickers in the back of the manual included in the yaw sensor kit. It didn't even occur to me that a lot of vehicles were not coming with the stickers...or that the stickers were not yet functional in the software.
The OTA update applied a couple weeks ago didn't change MyView. Still resets, though perhaps it's a bit less frequent?
Can't speak to the gauges - I quit customizing those a couple resets ago.
Strongly considering reaching out to my local dealer to see if their update can be applied.
Anyone have feedback on this (or similar) adaptor? This is exactly what I have in mind for an upcoming camper rental. Hoping to hear positive things. Since it's a rental I won't know it works until...it works. The plan "B" is to adapt into the 120V-20A outlets like OP did but would rather...
Indeed - the vehicle must be on. If you have the PowerBoost hybrid then the gas engine will cycle as needed. Additionally, "generator mode" needs to be enabled from the cabin (touch screen or hard button). It does not appear possible to use remote start and the green hard button in the bed...
