Yes, I have a VIN and the truck is on "chip hold". The last VVR estimated it would be off chip hold on October 28 - November 4. This was a delay from October 18. Now the end of November is looking questionable.
My big update is that the Ford Pass app now shows a picture of my truck on the home screen. No other noticeable updates of any kind. When I ordered in February, I was very naively hoping to get it before the summer. I hope that I'm not naively thinking I might get it late November or early...
Ford chat said that my truck in on "chip hold" with an estimated release date of October 17. Another poster recently mentioned that "chip hold" is the generic term they currently use for any kind of part hold.
Thank you for the posting the fix.
It is nice to see you posting again. I know you have gotten a lot of criticism from the Ford fan boys in the past, but I've always thought your posts were great.
You forgot a huge number of rags or paper towels to clean up oil splashing everywhere. And a tarp to cover the cement. Maybe everyone doesn't let the drain plug fall in the drain pan hole, clogging the hole, so the oil overflows, and you have to reach in with your hand to fish it out.
Based on what I have seen here, the module list may not be updated even after the truck ships, but the email is usually a good indication. I haven't received the email either.
Here is the top line of table:
I read this table as it is stating that the truck is produced and they are estimating a delivery date between October 11 - 17. There are no notes under ETA Disposition. So it is still possible my truck my be in chip hold?
I recently asked my dealer about the status of my F150, and with their response, I was sent a VVR, which I show most of below. It says the primary status is "In Production" and the secondary status is "Produced". It does not say anything about chip hold, but I haven't received a "Built" email...
Here are some observations I've made based on this thread so far. Please free free to let me know if you disagree or experienced something else. I would like to be wrong about a few of these things.
Five out of fourteen (counting Air2mag) trucks in this build week have reportedly been built...
It looks good, and thank you for sharing. It will be interesting to see if the next oil change shows that the copper and silicon from production are headed down.
