  1. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

Update on my "Stop Safely Now" event in my 2023 PB. The event happen in a remote campground 1,700 miles from my home as I was hooking up my Airstream trailer. I thought I was toast. Power cycling the truck brought it back to life. Since that time I worked my way back home holding my breath on...
  2. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

I agree but worth a try. A lot happens between the time you simultaneously push the brake and start button and you get a "Ready" light. Timing must be very important in the sequence of checks made by the PCM before the start command is issued.
  3. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

I doubt that SSM 51822 was drafted for public consumption but it does reflect a casual approach to a serious problem. Simply roll back the PCM firmware to the last known good configuration while they sort out the code.
  4. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

Well we do have acknowledgment that the smart guys on this forum were right. Somebody messed with the PCM code in the 2023 PB and it is now sensing a fault that is likely not real or unimportant. There are a bunch of voltage state changes happening during the start sequence in the PB. Up to now...
  5. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

What I did not realize is the "Stop Safely Now" alert is generic and not specific to any specific code, condition or failure. I agree the 2023 "Stop Safely Now" associated with starting the engine is most likely a start up condition check that is failing. Of interest many reported, like mine...
  6. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

My turn. 2023 Platinum PowerBoost. 5/6/23 build date. 2,710 miles. I'm 2,000 miles into a road trip pulling a 25' Airstream trailer with my new PowerBoost. Truck has been used every day with 12 volt battery at or above 90% SOC every night. I was working around the the truck a few mornings ago...
  7. OBDLink MX+ is on Sale today

Today I was able to capture a video of the transition in voltage when changing the air conditioner blower from a "6" setting to "auto". I find with short trips around town I can manual change the blower settings so I always arrive home with the 12 volt battery at 100% SOC.
  8. OBDLink MX+ is on Sale today

Even more interesting and back to my point about PPoB, based on your test the HV charge/discharge meter is only reflecting power going to and from the traction motor. It does not reflect discharge from the HV battery going to PPoB inverter apparently. That was the PID I was searching for. And...
  9. OBDLink MX+ is on Sale today

Yes, that is why I was looking for PPoB PID information. When I am pulling the Airstream it is fully powered with the air conditioning units running in the Summer. I have flown airplanes a long time. You want as much informational as possible in one scan. Better out of limits annunciation...
  10. OBDLink MX+ is on Sale today

The latest version. My goal was to assemble as much of the digital information possible not represented in other sources on the instrument panel. So far I cannot find any PID's associated with the ProPower Onboard inverter. I think the GPS data is coming from the iPhone.
  11. OBDLink MX+ is on Sale today

Still working on it. New version tomorrow. Have you found any PID's in any of the modules relating to ProPower OnBoard? Functionality has to be in one of those modules.
  12. Starlink In Motion on a F-150 PowerBoost 🛰️

Need room to roll up the tonneau. Need a 140 degree cone obstruction free above the Starlink High Performance Dish. Any lower would block reception.
  13. Starlink In Motion on a F-150 PowerBoost 🛰️

Version 1 created a lot of turbulence over the roof at high speeds. That turbulence created noise in the cabin. Here is the latest version. This one is just right. Everything in one box that slides off in 5 minutes when needed.
  14. OBDLink MX+ is on Sale today

Inspired by @Snakebitten work I took his template and made some modifications.
  15. Powerboost 12v battery charging tip

Keep it coming. I am learning a lot. Just beginning to understand this machine. I am see a different charging behavior in my PB. It is a 2023 with a blend date of 5/5/23. Here is the background. Last week I got one of those messages that the truck was going to sleep in FordPass. I then put...
  16. Powerboost 12v battery charging tip

    Thanks @Snakebitten. Why two starters?
  17. ProPower and engine running full time for RV use or any use

Sound survey of the truck would be helpful. When boondocking I spend several days with the truck 10' from the trailer. I did not sense sound from the exhaust rather a low frequency rumble from the entire vehicle.
  18. Powerboost 12v battery charging tip

Given that the 2023 PB "Stop Safely" events are happening when pushing the start button I wonder if we are beginning to understand what may be happening with these battery switching events.
  19. Powerboost 12v battery charging tip

Looks like that. It is isolated by a diode from the main 12 volt battery, so it can get charged but not supply 12 volt power. But where is it supplying 12 volts. Whatever it feeds it only is good for 7 ah.
