Maybe they “forgot” to end your free trial period. I know that most likely there is some automated system that ends everyone’s free trial periods, but like all software, you are probably the lucky recipient of a “glitch” that didn’t automatically disable your free trial.
On the 2019 F150 that I...
New 24 KR PB here, I am already having that message along with the loss of approach lighting/interior lights, and loss of FordPass remote starting, at only 1200 miles. I had this same exact issue with the 22 XLT 302a 2.7EB I had prior.
I was hoping that by now, this POS issue would have been...
I can confirm that they STILL have not fixed this issue with the 2024's. Just like they have STILL not fixed the PITA "battery saver mode". Four freaking model years into this generation, and they STILL haven't fixed these issues. Wanna bet these will STILL be issues on the 2025's?
Well, for anyone wondering, no, the splitter that plugs into the 230 volt/30 amp outlet didn’t stop the truck’s breaker from tripping. The air compressor started initially, but within a couple seconds the breaker tripped. I did try a 3/8 drill and a circular saw. Those ran without issue.
Oh...
The compressor was completely empty when I tried it on the truck. The compressor stays unplugged until I need it. It is portable, when I need to air up the tires on one of my trailers, for example, I run it until it shuts off, then wheel it outside to where the trailer is parked.
I will not be...
I wish the heated seats would let you toggle between both seat bottom and seat back, or seat back only, like the 2014 GMC Sierra SLT I once had. I miss that feature, as it allowed me to use the seat back as a heating pad for my gimped up back without having to cook my ass. I also wish that I...
My 2024 King Ranch will keep playing the radio for about 5 seconds as well. It always shuts off before I can close the door, so at least I know it is off. The 2022 302a XLT I had prior, the radio would instantly turn off upon opening the driver's door.
I just chalked it up to it being a new...
Thanks for the link, I will be buying one. It will be handy to have, not only for the compressor, but for anything else I might want to run that has a high initial surge.
This is a picture of the label on the compressor motor.
I think I will keep the current setup. The one thing I should do is replace the plug itself. I noticed that it has a split on one of the two “blades” of the plug. The plug is old and a little beat up, and the split is probably causing the...
The lights in the garage do blink for a split second when it fires up. I think it can be wired for 230 volts according to the label on the motor. However, I don't have the requisite outlet in the garage for that.
I guess I would then just run the compressor off the truck at that point. :)
I don't know the model, it is an old compressor I got from my father. But the motor is a 2 HP Dayton, capacitor start, 60 hz. It appears that it can be wired for 230 volt, giving it a working current of 7.5 amps versus 15 amps with the 115 volt setup, according to the label.
I noticed the plug...
Recently, I tried to run my portable air compressor using the 7.2 kw PPOB generator on my Powerboost. I read up on using PPOB in the owner's manual, and followed the procedure to put my truck in generator mode. I plugged in my air compressor, flipped the switch to turn on the compressor, and it...
I noticed that on my 24 KR, when I turn off the massage seat function, the lumbar support seldom goes back to where I had it set. I have to hit the memory 1 button to get it back to where I want it. While not really a nuisance, if I am driving, memory 1 won't work due to the truck moving. In...
I am terrible with computer stuff, so no FORSCAN for me. Typing and posting on this forum is about as computer savvy as I will ever be. I guess hitting the + button every time is what I will need to do. Too bad they changed it, on my 22 302a it worked in every mode, every time, never had to hit...
I'm a knowledge junkie and a control freak, so I like to know what gear the truck is in. Not that I would manually shift the truck, but just to know. It appears that the new trucks default to no indicator on start up. Oh well, I will just have to get into the habit of hitting the + button with...
That's the strange part of this, my other truck, the A/C button would stay lit, no matter how cold it was outside, as long as it was on when I last ran the truck. Remote start or regular start. On this one, no matter the method of starting, it is always off. I did make sure it is set to "last...
Thanks for the kind replies all. I have a lot to learn about this truck, since it is my first Powerboost. Even though our house has an 8 kw standby generator, I likely wouldn't have gotten this truck if it didn't have the 7.2 kw PPOB. For me, that is a must if I was to get a Powerboost. We...
