I was ready to walk off the lot after I found the rust on mine. They cleaned it up, but negotiated a new trifold tonneau cover and spray in liner on top of my discount due to my “displeasure”. Retail value of both was $1,500-$2K.

How fast can you get the protector up and running? I was a click away from buying one (live in DFW, hail all the time), but read several reviews that it takes way too long to set up and is a pain to store.

I have the EcoBoost so can’t comment on any shudder, but mine was dirty like you described so I washed and waxed with no issue.
I have this color on my 2011. Y’all are going to love it. The paint is beautiful, cool in the heat, rarely shows dirt, and no scratches. I wanted to get my 2021 the same color but my wife convinced me to do something different.

It’s not your fault at all. You did nothing wrong. Would you look under a new refrigerator you just purchased? You bought a brand new vehicle and have every right to expect that it’s pristine upon purchase.
