Ordered 10/29 still no blend date, finally gave up and found a Lariat 150 miles from me. Picked it up 2 weeks ago.

My dealer just received 7 F-150’s that were not as they were ordered. According to him the breakdown is when Dearborn submits the order to the factory for production.

I ordered my XLT 10/29–still no production date. I received 2k off invoice. Finally got fed up and started searching. Found a Lariat from a small dealer 150 miles from me. Got 4k off sticker. Picked it up 2 weeks ago. Glad I did.

Yea--I am really happy with this dealer. My XLT was 2k off MSRP, and I have purchased a vehicle from them in the past, these guys gave me 4k off and we did everything except the pick up over the phone. They are a small dealer and didn't know me from Adam.

Ford really sucks at this. Ordered my XLT 10/29 last week found a Lariat with all the options I ordered, plus a few extra 150 miles from me. Picked it up Monday.

I have seen some antimatter blue on dealer's lots, and had not heard of any hold up on the antimatter blue. In my opinion Ford has done a very poor job on these custom orders.

I agree with the gray. I had a antimatter blue on order since 10/29, got tired of waiting and found a Lariat with all the options I ordered 150 miles away. Love the color. Thought about it when I placed my order, but they didnt have that color on the lot. The little samples in the brochure...

I hear u you on the similar trucks. I ordered 10/29, still no build date—saw many trucks come out with my options ordered months after mine. Finally gave up, found a truck with everything I ordered plus a few additional 150 miles from me. Picked it up Monday.

Good Luck--I have been waiting since 10/29 for my XLT--saw a Lariat about 140 miles north of me that has everything I ordered on the XLT, and many other features--leave in about an hour to pick it up. They gave me 4k off the sticker--so I ended up paying about 4k more than the XLT on order.

It is also my understanding from reading other ford information, that the dealers are very limited on the options they can order. So the odds of finding a well optioned truck are very limited.
