They will continue to make 2022s almost through the end of the year.
People ordering 2021s did not get "force changed" to a 2022 until almost November. You've got a good amount of time left before you have to worry about getting bumped.
I'm guessing when your lead times went from 7 days to 189, you called your customers and updated them with new lead times right?
When your price increase came in, you called your customers right?
I'm guessing every single one of your customers has an ETA on their shipment, and you update it...
I understand what you're trying to say, but the way Ford is handling the communication of the issue is not acceptable. I run a manufacturing plant here in the US, and we're struggling with all kinds of commodity issues, so I'm sympathetic.
But if I pulled what Ford is pulling with me with my...
That's old information. They made that change several weeks ago. The change I'm posting about is new and in addition to this addendum.
It doesn't affect all f150s just everything below platinum/kr/limited
Seconded as well. Chip has been quick to inform me and shares all new information when he gets it.
I place blame 100% on Ford for accepting orders for things they could not fulfill. Either through ignorance or poor planning.
At least now it seems they won't let people order things they...
Obviously this situation is slightly different than the end of 2021, but those guys got FUCKED and got no price protection and got shuffled to the back of the line again with all the other people.
Now if I was pushed due to a commodity problem I would hope Ford would do something to offset...
No, it's been across the board on all trims below 502A. It just so happens that a lot of people who are on the waiting list for production on this forum ordered through Granger Ford. And that Granger Ford happens to communicate well with their customers so they're finding out about it early...
I highly doubt this has anything to do with Granger. This is entirely Ford corporates doing. They don't have enough materials to complete the 2022 trucks as ordered so they're scrambling to cut options from certain trucks.
And just like last year, if you don't get built in 2022, you won't be...
Chip specifically told me I could keep the Assist. Weird that it's called out here as being removed. Who freaking knows, the Tremor is in a weird spot I guess.
My dealer said "some" F150s. If it's not standard on your trim (i.e. a 701) I'd be pretty concerned if you weren't on the chopping block right now you will be soon. I'm also hearing rumors that bluecruise will not be available in 2023 at all.
I'm thinking it might have something to do with the Ota updates. Sirius and connected nav removed due to some kind of connected services issue, and I know blue cruise has some pretty serious update requirements to function properly. And they get axed around the same time..
That is by far the most frustrating part of it for me. Feels like a slap in the face that a dealer can get MY TRUCK that I ordered with all the bells and whistles and sell it for MSRP +15k ADM and then I can't get my truck built the way I ordered it in January.
Since I've been on order through two price increases the entire 2k saved would already be consumed if I reordered for MY23. Plus I'm willing to bet it might not even be available in MY23. I really only see two options, cancel or suck it up.
I hadn't seen a post about this so I figured I'd share what I know.
Chip at Granger reached out to me today to let me know that my truck would require Bluecruise (Copilot Active 2.0) removed in order to be scheduled for production. My options are to remove it (go down to just Copilot Assist...
I've been at a priority 2 for almost 3 months. Honestly, after seeing this forum, if I had a KR on order I'd cancel it. They seem to get the worst of everything. You'd have an easier time ordering a Raptor.
I have an Audi right now with their "advanced assist" stuff. I do a lot of really long haul driving on the highways, and I love the nannies. I know it's not for everyone but I do a lot of competitive driving and highway driving just does not do it for me.
I broke down in tears the last time...
I don't know what would be worse, being in my situation with no information at all or Ford sending me a ton of misleading information about when my truck will be ready :)
Good news on the power tailgate at least! I'll consider that a consolation for losing active park lol.
