My app also displays the same message now. I had never seen it before the last couple of weeks. Not sure if that’s an indicator of anything at all. Lol
Why wouldn’t Lemon Law be an option? At only 14k miles I would think the mileage would be the only potentially disqualifying thing about your truck. In my state it’s 2 years from date of sale or up to 24,000 miles. Anything that affects the function or value of the vehicle applies. And it isn’t...
Great thread. I can use this as ammo to claim my truck is a lemon if the clowns at Ford can’t fix it.
I’m not desperate enough to try this myself. Don’t want to brick my truck at this point in time.
If the high beams are set to auto, then they will automatically come on if the truck senses that things are dark enough. I live more out in the country (but not super rural by any means) and mine flip on and off like they are supposed to when I’m moving in and out of very dark areas/roads...
That’s the classic excuse nowadays. I’m just so enthused because I am likely in the same exact situation. I do wonder if I will actually make it to the 4 strikes needed to invoke my state’s lemon law. Should be interesting. And highly annoying.
No, not at all. I agree with you and I am definitely going to pursue all options with the dealership and/or Ford corporate to get it fixed. Including claiming that the truck is basically a lemon. Or false advertisement, however you want to look at it.
Did this yesterday afternoon. No change.
I am basically in the same boat as sonofzell, but not on trip #3 yet by any means. But if the service staff at my dealer can’t figure it out, I don’t really know what I’ll do.
Just so you know, the information that the link provides means nothing. My VIN says the truck is up to date and yet it has none of the features that were added in any of the PowerUp updates. And that’s because the updates have literally never worked.
Oh, I dunno. How about repeatedly seeing owners on this forum talking about getting updates multiple times over the past 8 months? All while I get no updates and no notifications of any changes. My truck was built in March 2021 and there have been multiple updates to the Sync system since then...
Took my truck into the dealer yesterday. In the last couple of weeks I’ve learned that my truck has literally never received an OTA update. The prompts never show, new uploads never download, and the app never notifies me of any changes. It’s like the OTA system doesn’t even exist.
The service...
I have literally never received an OTA update in the entire time I’ve owned my truck. Coming up on a year in March.
I find these threads interesting to say the least. Lol
Truck is scheduled for troubleshooting next week though.
I get no notifications for updates. I don’t even know where to look in FordPass for the software version on my truck. Auto updates says they are on when I’m in the truck. But as far as I know, I’ve received literally zero updates since I’ve bought the truck. What the hell gives?
Finally ordered one. Now I just need to find a cam that can utilize the adapter. The cams I have for our other vehicles won’t work with the mirror connection as they need 12 volt power…
The main thing you should be aware of with the Powerboost is that if you get any other fancy options like power tailgate or moonroof, your payload is going to suffer absolutely with all the extra weight.
The 3.5 has all the power and none of the downsides of the heavy battery. And if you don’t...
Yeah, I was just plugging right into the 12v outlet in the dash.
That hardwire job is impressive. Way beyond what I ever want to mess with though. I still haven’t found a good solution for my dash cam dilemma.
