Well guys, it's almost official. I pick up my truck this afternoon. It's not the one I ordered (I cancelled that a few days ago even though Ford says it's being shipped), but the replacement has more options. The only options it doesn't have that were on my original order are wheel well...
This is a quiet group lately. There's a few folks with later build weeks getting their "your truck is built" emails. There doesn't seem to be any logic behind whose truck is getting completed and which ones are not. It's a mixed bag among the January build weeks. There must be one common...
Hello 1/10'ers. I'm here to give some folks hope. I was originally part of this group but got bumped to the 1/17 build week back in early January. I received an email today that my Lariat 502A Powerboost was built and is undergoing final inspections. Hopefully that means you'll all be seeing...
The tracker updated to estimated delivery Feb 18th. Not sure I buy that it gets here that quick. My window sticker didn't update at all though. Still dated Feb 3rd
Edit: It'll be interesting to see if folks in the 1/10 build week group got theirs built as well or if I'm an outlier and jumped...
What a difference a day makes... I signed the purchase agreement for the lot truck yesterday, then 2am this morning I receive an email from Ford saying my truck is built and undergoing final inspections. ETD revised from May 3rd to Feb 18th. Now I have to decide whether to trust the delivery...
Will do. It's a Lariat Powerboost, very similar build to my order with a few extras I hadn't intended to buy in order to keep the price down. I've accepted that I'll be paying more, but a few thousand seems worth not having a truck at all.
Sorry guys but I may not be making this journey with you much longer. With all the uncertainties I decided to find a local truck to purchase and have started the paperwork. As long as there are no surprises, I'll be cancelling my ordered truck.
There's a thread somewhere here of people complaining about changes from the '21 to the '22 model year, things like no cupholder lights, glovebox light, temp reading on knobs, etc. Maybe think about stripping out all these parts that aren't part fo the '22 MY so you can swap them into your next...
Per my dealer... once you're assigned a VIN, Ford will not release a truck without options identified by the VIN# so no worries about an option being dropped. That also means they will hold the truck for as long as necessary to get whatever part they are waiting for. The completed truck needs...
Revised ETD of 5/3 for me. I'm looking at local dealer stock again and may have to pay the upcharge. assuming I didn't burn a bridge when I (kind of) accused them of price gouging. They may not want to sell to me after that.
