Thanks Daemonic3, good stuff to keep in mind! We'll see what comes in the future - I always imagine being able to fit bikes in various small places in a trailer, never accounting for how big (especially 29" mountain) bikes actually are!
I know from the minivan experience, I can fit a SUP (or...
Thanks - mis-typo on my part! "2.7 Payload Package" is what I meant. Crazy-confusing regardless, haha.
My understanding is then the 1965# is then the absolute MAX and just about any option added will take away from that value. Still a pretty decent number, from what I've seen online with...
Thanks Daemonic! I can't imagine getting a 14' SUP into any trailer, just based on the angles/length required. But I've also seen folks with SUP/kayaks/surfboards on TOP of their trailers- I'd be a little concerned on windage then (I didn't notice what level truck was pulling them).
The...
thanks for sharing all the info on this! What made you choose a roof rack over a bed rack? Researching all these options, I’m interested to hear what others have found from experience. I’ll have a 14’ SUP as well as 2-4 mtn bikes (if I’m not towing, I have a rack I can use for the bikes, but...
I notice there are two GVWR values for some options (like 2.7L 4x4: 6600 & 6900). How do you know /choose which GVWR you'll end up with? Is the higher value a result of the Heavy Duty Payload Package for the 2.7L that I see as an option?
Just curious why you’d choose a larger bed? I’m focused on 5.5 beds mostly due to keeping the size and turning radius a bit down and still have 4DR vehicle for the family.
As for camping, here’s a cool project done on a Ridgeline to give an idea:
Hi all,
Fairly new to this forum and trucks in general. Talk about drinking from a fire hose (my last vehicle was a 2010 Sienna whose sliding doors are now manual and also have a used 2004 Honda Element in 2006 whose locks no longer work, to put things in perspective).
I realize a “Gen14” forum...
I’m sorry but have we met before? Because you seem to know an awful lot about me! ;-).
(maybe not the “high income” part: that 2004 Honda Element I drive isn’t as high-class as you might think!)
But I do see these vehicles becoming pretty popular even though they’re pricey. You can’t swing an...
