  1. Plug-in Powerboost

I have a similar problem currently with my 2022 F350 diesel. I didn't even think about it at the time but big modern diesel + short commute has become a massive inconvenience. I don't get any heat in the winter even if I warm it up for 25+ minutes and the particulate filter fills up and needs a...
  2. Plug-in Powerboost

When I net out the zero gas usage during the week, and then 20mpg unloaded on weekends and 8mpg from the Ecoboost towing a trailer it really would wash out around 30mpg net in the run of a month for me. Currently having one diesel car that gets 35mpg city/50mpg highway and a diesel truck that...
  3. Plug-in Powerboost

Yes, it would absolutely need to have a larger battery to be viable. Years Ago I had a Fusion Energi as a company car and it was absolutely awesome. Drive to the office and back all week without using a drop of fuel but I could also charge it up overnight and drive it 600 miles on the weekend...
  4. Plug-in Powerboost

Who else thinks this would be the perfect bridge gap between ICE and EV? I do 100% city driving daily and pull a TT on weekends. It’ll be a long time before the Lightning would work for my lifestyle without being a massive inconvenience, and judging by the discussions of range anxiety it won’t...
  5. 01/24/2022 Build Week

A buddy of mine had his 2021 held up at the plant for about 10 days at the end of November with a chip hold. I'm hopeful it's a shorter lived holdup this time around.
  6. '21 Space White XLT – Built for thrashing

Nice little build. These trucks take a beating. Mine saw 3+ years of abuse in 7 months and never skipped a beat. I don't slow down for gravel or washboard in any vehicle I own and it pulled 30ft and 8500lbs down trails that would be a fun little challenge in a Jeep
  7. Winter driving and adding weight in the bed of a 4x4 pickup?

I've never needed weight in the back of a 4x4 half ton but tires do make a huge difference. I'm under the impression that tires are NOT a thing to cheap out on because you get what you pay for. If you live in an area that gets a long, intense, bullshitty winter like I do, winter tires are a...
  8. 3.0 Reliability in Question

Between the cam phasers in the 3.5EB and the oil consumption problems in the 5.0 I'd say the 3.0L is the best engine you can get in the F-150. I have two in my fleet with over 120,000 miles, both are emissions deleted with no issues since. I think the one pilot truck is getting up close to that...
  9. Dealership/Ford built my 2021 F150 wrong...

Ford dealers use a program to order retail units (the same program that spits out those really nice preview sheets) that's really intuitive and easy to use with drop-down menus. It's so difficult to screw an order up, let alone screw an order up THAT bad. If it was a fleet order the program...
  10. What's your drive mode of choice?

Normal and tow haul for towing. Eco turns it into a slug and when you're in Sport mode you just cruise around town at 4,000rpm all day and if you so much as breathe on the gas pedal it will snap your neck. Not a fan
  11. 3.0 diesel and the PowerBoost

The two may be close with their highway mileage with a slight advantage to the diesel having a taller gear ratio. The PB may also edge out the diesel around town. It's towing anything where you will notice the difference. From what I've read and heard, the PB averages the same towing mileage...
  12. Rear Camera while driving like 22’ superduty?

I have a job 1 build that doesn't allow viewing the cameras while driving, My dad just bought a new King Ranch that was a later build and it has that capability as well as provisions for a trailer camera. Feeling pretty jipped.
  13. BakFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover installed on 2021 F-150 Platinum

I honestly couldn't be more disappointed with my MX4. 4 months of regular use and it's falling apart. All the rubber bumper strips have fallen off and I've lost all the caps for each corner of the cover itself. One of the brackets for the buckle clips has come loose and one of the wing nuts that...
  14. 3.0 can it still be ordered ???????

I wish I did. I don't really tow heavy enough to justify a 1 ton diesel so the half ton diesel would've worked perfect for me. Lots and lots of light to medium duty towing with my F-150, and 7mpg regardless of what I tow is pushing me swiftly away from gas. Couldn't make the numbers make sense...
  15. 3.0 can it still be ordered ???????

It's done. Only way you're getting a new one is if you can find one in dealer inventory that was ordered before balance out in June. It's sad, that engine really filled a niche nobody talked about. Double the fuel economy while towing a trailer.
  16. 2022 Toyota Tundra is Going After the F-150 PowerBoost

When you look at current competition they could've put a lot less effort into the 14th generation as a whole, and they'd still have been ahead of everyone else.
  17. 2022 Toyota Tundra is Going After the F-150 PowerBoost

Looks are subjective and it's not for me, but as a product I have to say Toyota does make a damn good argument for themselves here. They've pretty much mastered Hybrid tech. Embrace competition, it keeps everyone on their A-game!
  18. Rate the new Bang & Olson 18 Speaker stereo.

It's not bad. It's not comparable to a B&O in a Mercedes that costs $5,000 to upgrade to. Or even a Revel II in a Lincoln but for $800 it's a good upgrade over the 8 speaker. I would get it again.
  19. '21 vs '22 F-150.

I'm in Alberta too so I hear you! Hard to smell the new car smell in it's entirety when it's -30!
  20. '21 vs '22 F-150.

Regardless of how many addendums are made to the build date, if it has a VIN number the truck will be built.
